On 4/18/24 we accepted a proposal from **** ********* of Advanced Exteriors for 9 new windows for our home. We gave him a deposit check for $2850.00. The start date was to be when the window order arrived. After one month we tried calling Mr *********. With no response we texted him. Text messages inquiring about a start date went on for months. Finally in October we told him we’d had enough and wanted to cancel. He said he would deduct $350 from the refund of our deposit and would bring a cancellation to sign. He never showed at the agreed on time and didn’t contact us again. We texted him to find out he now wanted us to agree to cancel with a statement online and we would receive our $2500.00 refund by check within 45 days. We agreed and waited the 45 days. No check. We are very sorry for any delays on this project however it was mot intentional and our contracts have a contingency clause that allows for any delays or setbacks beyond our control . We did offer to provide the windows that we already had when the customer stated they changed their mind on getting the job done and wanted the $ back and not the windows . We did hope to get a refund on windows and make up for the difference in restocking fees .Unfortunately we were not able to get the cash refund on the units but we are able to offer a refund consisting of the deposit amount minus the cancelation fee the complaintant to pay as they are the ones that canceled contract as I ha e proof of with text messages . We would agree to a refund of the above mentioned amount to be paid in 3 separate payments over 6 weeks to start once and if offer is accepted and the complaint will be resolved . Thank You. On March 15, 2024, we contracted with ***** ** *********, of Advanced Exteriors, located at 23349 Park Avenue, Georgetown, Delaware 19947, ************* and (************ (he drives a white, Ford F-150, Delaware license plate ********. I saw an ad he posted on Nextdoor. He was to purchase and install eleven (11) Viwinco, ‘Cambridge’ model impact resistant windows in my home located at ***** **** ******* ****** *******e. He came, measured and informed us that it would take four to five weeks for the windows to be delivered with the installation to begin on May 13, 2024. May 13 has come and gone!
We gave **** check number #1494 in the amount of $4125.00, on April 1, 2024, we gave him check #1495 in the amount of $2780.00 for the upgrade to the ‘Oceanview’ model and check #1498 in the amount of $1000.00 when he ‘started’ the job on October 3, 2024. **** has been to my house a total of three (3) times in the past eight (8) months and as of today, he has removed the siding from four of my windows in the back of my house (they are still currently exposed as of 10/20/2024), he has not installed any windows, and he refuses to immediately refund my money. I have a litany of texts where he has promised to show up but has not done anything regarding the contract. He should not be allowed to do business in the State of Delaware because he is a scam/con artist.
We have been beyond patient with him and his ‘challenges’ and we would just like this matter resolved with a refund of our money—a total of $7905.00. We have reported this to Delaware State Troopers—troop 7 in Lewes, Delaware on October 14, 2024. They are revisiting the case on 11/28/2024 because he claims he will refund in 45 days.Business Response

****** ****** is making false allegations that can be proven.she is trying to get special treatment . She is suppose to be a trustworthy and honest author an if only the people buying her books can see the real woman she is through threats in text and the way she talks down to people . First of all the windows were upgraded months after signing the original proposal which added 7 weeks to the start date . In the meantime a heart condition I have cardiomiopathy started acting up causing very serious health problems. I did notify the customer of this an she agreed it I had no control over health issued and understood things haooem. Pur contract also clearly allows for any delays out of my control . She can contact any polic she wants this is nit a criminal matter and I strongly believe I will win a civil case . I will be sure to let her clients at her homeopathic business know the real person that she is .her siding was in very very bad shape and I am the one that told her she needed nw siding or to at keast rejuve.nate the siding this has nothing to do with me . ****** ****** thinks she is better then everyone else and dese4ves special treatment but she can't force a 12 panel jury to find this as a criminal action because itsnit . I did injure my hand when we were there working and she gave us 3 weeks to get the work done as shown on text. Then within a week she broke that agreement which is bondingamd told me she was done and would get someone else to pick up where we left off when I injured my hand . We agreed to a full refund which required a written agreement to waive any and all future liability for our business and herself but she refused making threats. I have the windows made especially fo her home and she backed out after agreeing to give us 3 weeks in a written text which is binding .. I refuse to allow her to make threats and call the police to intimidate me as we did nothing intentionally and teid to correct the issue whic she denied . Thanks for sending the complaint that i never received. We did receieve payments as we went along to pay for what was getting done . There was alao money still owed upon completion . I had a few major setbacks with one being a house fire that set me behind with work and everyday living . It was my understanding that the owner wanted things to move along faster therfore he was going to be hiring and pay a new contractor to finish .a lot of work on the side porch had to be done do to wall and window damage but he wanted to get the repairs on porch and windows for free. Thats 6 windows . I dont mind helping customers when i can however free repairs and windows is beyond what a reasonable person would see as accetptable .it was my understanding that the owner didnt like me and wanted to finish project on their own . I actually liked everyone there its just that the house fire and a family health emergency set me behind but I was working through it and would have had the work we were contracted to do finished and done right but i felt i got kicked off the project thanks.Initial Complaint
