    I have a 2 year (2021/2022) maintenance contract (4 maintenance visits) with Hyett for which I paid $752.00. Hyett provided the 2 maintenance visits in 2021. In 2022, Hyett provided one maintenance visit but is refusing to provide the second unless I give them an addition $15.00 for the first visit and a yet to be determined amount for the second. Hyett is breaching their contract with me.

    We are working with the Department of Justice for this case.

    The consumer is refusing to pay $11.00 dollars for a fuel surcharge. We (HRI) have all the intent on performing the contracted services for his last preventive maintenance on his system once paid.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my  issue.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.


    **In order for the bureau to continue to assist you, you MUST provide your view on the matter or your complaint will be closed as answered.

     

    I have a contract with Hyett which I paid in full and which they are refusing to honor. There is nothing in the contract about fuel surcharges. They told me they would not deliver the service I paid for unless I paid $15 additional for the service already delivered and an unspecified additional amount for the service they are refusing to deliver. As they have clearly breached their own contract and are trying to obtain additional money from me outside of the contract, I certainly do not trust Hyett. Sending them more money when I already paid just facilitates additional abuse.
