    In today' world with its clever, if not down-right devious marketing tricks, trying to find a competent person for anything is next to impossible. I can personally attest to the consummate skill-set of Morty and Patty of Lakeside Pottery Studio. Truly experienced artisans and they take their projects quite seriously. Morty reached out several times via phone to confirm some details of the project. So who does that today!? They restored a pink/red marble column and a base to a ca. 1860 Second Empire clock. They didn't have the other three columns that belong to the clock, and after I cleaned those, the repaired one matched them perfectly!--"Ya can't tell them apart." The rectangular base also matches the patina of the columns, so nothing looks "worked on." Absolutely amazing! We'll be sending them a few more projects. Also, it needs to be mentioned they actually know how to run a business. May they be blessed for their dedication and focus to their obvious passion of artisanship. All the best---A|C

    Morty and Patty at Lakeside Pottery Studio are highly skilled artists and crafts-persons, a pleasure to deal with, and they saved my special Indian pot!

    After my husband's beloved 90-year-old father passed this year, we brought home a number of his things, including my favorite, a little pot they had brought during an Elder Hostel event on the Hopi reservation in Arizona. Not expensive, but beautiful, with geometric and wing-like patterns, and signed on the bottom.

    I loved it, but almost the minute it reached our house, I broke it into five pieces through a ridiculous accident! No one local and no one online seemed able to help. Finally, I hit upon Lakeside Pottery. Now it's restored to museum quality, sitting on the dresser, and I feel good every time I look at it!

    Throughout the process they were helpful, understanding, and very clear about the pot's book value (not much); their pricing for painstaking, difficult work; delivery dates, and everything else. They were a delight to deal with, and the pot looks perfect! To top it all off, I realized when I began writing a review that they were the same people who had repaired a birdbath with three turtles on it for us in 2012. Need I say they did a great job on that as well? Highly recommended!
