      My contract for building a pergola stated 4-6 months but it took him 1.5 years to complete it! Lied throughout saying parts were on order when they were not. Would not return my phone calls after repeated attempts. He owes me the warranty and new items that his crew damaged on installation. He was disrespectful to me and my wife when we confronted him about the lies, etc. I spent a lot of my own time working with the crew and supplier trying to fix many problems. This was the worst experience and completely regret hiring him. Very stressful and frustrating. I would never recommend him.

      I went in contract with ***** ******* from Great Outdoor Sunroom on May 15th 2024. I gave them 50% deposit. Chris stated start date would be 5 or 6 weeks. On or about July 5 they dismantle the existing porch., and then asking for another 25% deposit. After at least 100 phone calls, and text this problem still exist. All I want is for them to complete the job Or give me my
      money back.

      I agree with 0 stars. Chris Russell cashed our $1500.00 down payment check on May 2nd 2024, told us 4 weeks until install. Still nothing. He doesn't answer his cell, the office doesn't answer their phone. His brochure gives the address for a showroom, but it is only an officer space in a strip mall. He us a scammed and a thief. It is time for a lawyer and court.
      I am done. Then I put the business name in the BBB site and it doesn't exhist.ugh

      0 stars should be an option. Do not engage with this company. Sunesta the awning manufacturer is no better. Neither stand behind their product. You have been warned.

      If I could rate a negative ten, I would. We had two sunrooms and window cover installed by Chris Russell, The Great Outdoors, project started in 2018. It took over two years, taking Russell to court, and countless calls (unanswered in 95% of the calls) to get any work done. After two years the rooms were completed. after countless contacts. We have some warranty issues but cannot get any response from The Great Outdoors nor Russell. We also understand he is using our name as a reference for potential new work. DO NOT ENGAGE IN ANY WAY WITH THIS COMPANY OR OWNER.

      Not a reputable company at all, If you need a lawyer here is one to call, three 0 two-eight five four-nine seven five 0 = Dean Campbell, construction law litigation lawyer. Right now they have at least 6+ lawsuits against them.

      DO NOT DO NOT hire this company. Chris Russell was very unprofessional. He did not communicate, he said he submitted for the permit and didn’t. The materials seemed to always be on order, when he told me he ordered the materials already. Took him over two months after deposit to begin the project. Blamed the township for taking long periods to process the permit. I went to the township to find he never submitted the paperwork. The service was not to my satisfaction and I DO NOT recommend at all, you will regret it.

      Do not use this company. They are frauds and thief’s. I ordered an awning in October of 2023 and gave them $3,969.00 down payment, was promised the awning would be installed by March of 2024. Started calling them at the middle of March and no one would return my calls. Started texting the owner ***** ******* and he would not return text. Went to the store and left messages, no response. It wasn’t until I left the message with ******* that I was taking them to court that I heard from ***** after 5 weeks of trying to get a response. He lied about everything. He said the awning would be installed by May 24th. After speaking to the Sunesta rep in Florida I found out that ***** never even ordered the awning. After I waited 7 months. Sunesta won’t even work with him anymore because he had screwed over so many people. He is a compulsive liar. If his mouth is open he is lying. At this time, Sunesta is working with me to help me get the awning. Spicer Brothers in Salisbury is now installing and selling awnings, Please do not take a chance with ***** ******* from the Great Outdoors in Lewes DE. There is nothing great about that company or that man. Marti Teal

      Please BEWARE of The Great Outdoors (Christopher Russell). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! We signed our contract in September 2023 for a four-seasons room and provided him with a deposit. Our job was started in October 2023, as per the contract, with an estimated completion date of mid December 2023. Once our room was under roof, everything came to an abrupt halt. Needless to say, we had already provided Chris Russell with another payment. It has been months since we have seen or heard from him. He is unresponsive and does not return phone calls or text messages. We ended up consulting an attorney and have terminated our contract with him. This company should not even get 1 star; it should get 0 stars.

      Beware and stay clear of The Great Outdoors (TGO) and Sunrooms. I paid them a deposit to glass in my patio, giving them 30% down payment or deposit at the end of Dec 2023 . They have yet to start the project. nor communicate with me on the status. I kept in contact with them on a bi-weekly basis to find out the status on when they would start the project as promised. The sales rep (Sal) stated an estimated finish date of around the end of February, early March. As I heard nothing from them by early February, I wrote to the sales rep again who would answer my text messages initially but stopped responding by mid-March 2024. The project manager called me about a week after this period (Anthony) and said he would look into the situation, but never called me back and did not return my calls, I moved on to the owner (Chris R) but he has not returned my phone calls after leaving several messages with their receptionist. At this point, I just want my money back so I can move on. I have been hearing from others that TGO continue to quote projects, take deposits and promise no project delays. An investigation should be launched against the owners.
