    I was scheduled to travel on the Egypt and 3 Night Nile Cruise trip from October 14-25, 2023, with 4 Seasons Tours and Travel. On October 11, Barbara *****, owner of the travel company, called me to inform me that she was cancelling the trip claiming people were cancelling due to the war in Israel. On October 13, I called Ms. ***** about filing a claim with the travel insurance I purchased and was informed by her that OAN would reject the claim since the war was not in Egypt. I then asked if I had lost all that money, and Ms. ***** replied, rather cavalierly in my opinion, "Didn't you ever lose money?" I told her that I would go on the trip with just one other person since I did not want to lose that money. She stated that some people still wanted to go on the trip, but it wasn't worth it for just 5 people. On October 23, I called Ms. ***** to inform her that I would file a claim with OAN stating that I wanted to go on the trip, but it was cancelled due to no fault of my own. My claim was rejected, and I have not heard from Ms. ***** since. Since it was her decision to cancel the trip and offered no options to recompense me for my loss, I feel she should refund my $5124.00 I paid her for it.

    Miss ****** has been refunded $575 - her initial deposit of $500 for the tour to Egypt and $75 for the amount she paid for the roundtrip transportation to Newark Airport in Newark, NJ.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my  issue.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
    **In order for the bureau to continue to assist you, you MUST provide your view on the matter or your complaint will be closed as answered.

    I am rejecting 4 Seasons Tours & Travel’s offer of $575 to close this complaint as that is only covers the deposit and limo to the airport. I paid for the Egypt trip in full and request an additional $4549. Attached are copies of the checks I sent to 4 Seasons Tours & Travel. Check 0964 is for the deposit of $500 and check 0970 is for the balance of $4624 including the cost of the limo.  Thank you
