As an experienced dog owner with a history of beautifully trained, well-behaved and long-lived dogs, I turned to OffLeash K9 because I now live alone and wanted my new puppy to be crate trained and have a solid foundation of obedience that I didn't have a lot of time to provide. Which is what I told the owner when I enrolled my pup. The website taunted a puppy board and train program that would address "crate training, housetraining, loose leash manners, come sit place and down." $3,200 later, my puppy was not crate trained, pottied in the house, a maniac on the leash, and knew nothing but "Sit" "Come" and "Place." Frustrated, I complained, and they took him back for another week. Results? The same. When I complained again, the owner assured me he was "calm in the crate for extended periods of time" and explained that they are simply introducing concepts of training, comparing dogs to students who behave differently in a classroom than at home. I found that condescending and insulting. Still having issues with crate training three months later (he barks CONSTANTLY), I reached out to the trainer, who replied that she'd like videos of me working with the dog... and then said she knew someone who had falled in love with him while she was working with him and asked if I'd like to rehome him. WHAT??? No accountability, and after promising "a lifetime of support," that's the "help" I received. I dealt in the past with the Woodbridge Virginia location of OffLeash K9 and they were fantastic, which is why I thought I'd have a better experience here. I was wrong. What an insulting, frustrating, and disastrous waste of money and time. I feel so stupid.
