    I would like to share a pathetic experience I had so far working with Energy Services Group (ESG).

    I had an energy assessment for my home on December 26, 2024 and I contacted ESG as one of PECO’s recommended contractors to fix the insulation issues. I got a quick appointment for inspection and a gentleman named Jay visited my property on 12/31/2024.

    He inspected my house thoroughly and promised me to share an estimate soon. I was waiting for the quote and sent him a reminder on 01/06. Jay responded promptly saying that he missed to send that as he was out in the holidays and would get back to me. Again I waited and sent him another reminder email on 01/09 and he never reverted to me.

    I called ESG again on 01/21 and spoke to Jay and he said that he would send me the estimate sometimes in the late afternoon. As usual, I never heard back from him. I had his cell number as he gave me his card so I texted him and requested for an update. He responded me next day (01/22) and told that he started the quote and had no idea what happened after that and he was asking if he can revisit my home.

    Though I found it quite unprofessional, I agreed to his proposal of revisiting my home on 01/27. He confirmed again on 01/24 that he would give me a call on 01/27 as soon as he is done with one of his scheduled appointments at 12:30 PM.

    I took a day off on 01/27 and had been waiting for his call. At 4:47 PM, he texted me that he was very busy for the whole day so couldn’t make it and was checking if I would be available on 01/28. This time he didn’t even bother to apologize because it became very normal for him and he did the same thing multiple times with me. I got extremely frustrated by seeing how easily people takes others for granted as if I have no value of my time.

    Again, I am not sure if this is just an isolated incident or a regular practice of ESG but I would appreciate if they take this complaint seriously and try to address these problems for their own betterment.
