While a few of the employees were polite, the whole install was a disaster. We arranged a date for the floor installation and then a few days later I was told the flooring wouldn’t arrive until the day of the installation and I had to reschedule. That was my first inconvenience. The installers parked in front of my neighbor’s place even though parking was readily available in front of my house. They left trash all over, inside and outside. My white walls became a light brown. The installer said they would move my furniture back to its original locations. They put it back incorrectly after damaging my furniture. They put holes in my baseboard trim and blamed it on the rotten subfloor from previous water damage. Funny how those holes weren’t there a few weeks ago when the house was painted. They removed the toilet to do the bathroom floor and refused to put it back due to a leak even though they had called a plumber friend. I wound up having a filthy house and a non functioning bathroom. (I’m glad I took pictures of all the damage.) The real getter was when I called to report my concerns and was told that the installers said the wood was rotten before they started working. And that I would have to pay for the materials and labor to have them fix it. Absolutely not. I refused to pay to repair something that someone else damaged. At this point, I am done with the company. If they want to make restitution, reimburse me for the cost of repairing/replacing the damaged furniture, or otherwise compensate me for all the trouble, then I’m willing to listen. Otherwise I hope I never hear from them ever again.

I have never been more appalled before in my life than shopping at this store and having interacted with a "manager" who throws the N word around at people. Shame on you

Although I was told that this is a fine company to work with and also having reasonably good experience at the store, I am disappointed that the engineered wood floor install overall didn’t go that well as there is a height/ thickness difference between the old and new wood that probably was not accounted for, creating trip hazard between wood and tile area at washer room and gaps at door trim and wood floor at many places in kitchen, dining etc. The new wood was also squeaking at few places and some damage was done during install/ moving to a couple of 6 foot wood cabinets and my entrance door jamb probably due to pulling the storm door too much and the hydraulic unit snapping and wood cracked.

For over 56 years we have strived to provide the best possible service, selection, and value to our customers. We thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention and apologize. While we do thousands of installations each year, occasionally we run into specific issues in each unique home. This includes subfloors and existing flooring in each home. Often we review these challenges and moldings are very commonly used to deal with these height differences. Wood floors and subfloors will always expand and contract with the different humidity and temperature differences in the home throughout the year. Please contact our location if you require anything.

Make sure you triple check all of your documentation and take conversations with 0 value. Was told 5 year financing was what I was to be given but ended up only being 18 months. Called in to let them know of the issue ok my first statement and was told "oh thats an issue with a recent change of codes with the financer and we will fix it" Welp thay never happened and told me there was "no way to verify that and there's nothing we can do" Highly recommended going somewhere else for your products and services unless you like a snake oil salesman

For over 56 years we have strived to provide the best possible service, selection, and value to our customers. We thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention and apologize. Although we recently changed financing companies, this is no excuse for the confusion of the sales associate. Please contract our Store Manager if you require additional service.

I am not one to start trouble but this is not fair what they did to me. I specifically asked their ONLINE SERVICE (1-888 number) before purchasing if the particular tile I wanted to order was returnable and the answer was YES. You have 30 days from the date of receipt to return the tile. I called to return the tile within the 30 day time period and was then told NO I can't return the tile as it is custom tile from Glazio tile (manufacturer) and they will not allow any returns. So Carpet & Tile Mart got the tile from Glazio and Carpet Mart says No they will not take it back. They keep telling me to look at their policy for this tile I bought. I keep telling them I know what it says but I never looked as your staff told me I could return it. I feel I was LIED to just so they could make the sale and now they will not work with me for the return. Any reputable company would take the tile back. I am the Director of Operations for a major company and when I hear stories like this I look into it internally to find out what went wrong and I refund the customer as it IS NOT THEIR FAULT!

Airbase Carpet and Tile Mart New Castle DE I would not use them again. From the measurements in the store I was quoted $1100, when it was time for install the price became $2200. Despite that red flag I moved forward. They left the areas a mess - there was an excess amount of carpet fibers left all over. (I have had carpet installed in the past and it was never left like this) I was told they would move and return furtiture - I moved everything except a TV stand and TV and they complained about that. They removed one transition strip and did not replace it, they claimed it was broken - it was not. They broke the other two. The installers were rude and discourtious. I was also left with an excess amount of carpet after the quote doubled. I have tried to work this out at the store level for the past three weeks to no avail. On top of all that I got a call from the manager Stuart who was threatening and disrespectful about the review I left on Google. Horrible across the board.

For over 55 years we have strived to provide the best possible service, selection, and value to our customers. We thank ******** ******** for providing feedback on her experience with us. We also apologize that she is not happy with her installation. Upon investigating the claim, we learned the following. When ******** came into our store, we were provided a rough size of 12 x 24 and provided an estimate based on what we were told. After we measured the job, the room was actually 16’8” x 27’.5” and steps and a landing were added. This of course changed the final quote price based on these differences. We were extremely clear on why the price was different and reviewed the final quote in detail. ******** decided to move forward once we reviewed the final quote price. To frame this as a red flag is unfair and not accurate. We can only provide accurate estimates if the customer provides accurate measurements. This is precisely why we measure every installation, and then provide a final quote to our customers. We ask all our installers to vacuum after the installation of any carpet. Our installer offered to vacuum but was told by the person at the home at the time of installation to “not worry about it”. Unfortunately, this was not *********  We would be happy to repair any trim concerns that ******** has as our contract states. For over 55 years, if our customers have a concern, we address it, and have the right to do so. As far as the carpet “extra”, the installation required a 12 x 28 and a 12 x 22 to complete it. After the installation was complete the only “extra” carpet was an 18” x 22’ piece. This is not excessive given the layout of her project. The first communication we had of her concerns was this review. To state that she tried to work it out with us for three weeks is not an accurate statement. Since ******** was working with a designer, we are trying to communicate with her as well to address her concerns. We have tried to contact ******** and will continue to do so, to address her concerns.
