I responded to their CraigsList ad seeking substitute teachers. I emailed them my resume and cover letter. The HR lady scheduled me for an interview the next day. However, she called me the next day to reschedule my interview for ten days later because the male interviewer allegedly was in an auto accident which interfered with his ability to interview me that day. Meanwhile, she asked me to fax to her my security clearances and a W-9 form. I paid a business supply store to fax over those 4 documents per their request. Ten days later, I rode the El into Center City Philly for the afternoon interview. I arrived ten minutes early. I showed the building security guard my photo ID. She called upstairs on the phone, talked to someone, and hung up. The guard told me that the SOS interviewer had left for the day over two hours ago! They left me no message via email, cell, or landline. I emailed the HR lady to request an explanation. She did not reply. Two weeks later, I called their office, got their machine, and left a message….no reply. Next day, I called their office, got their machine again, and left another message. Later that morning, I did speak by phone with their “director.” The director speculated that the interviewer might have left early due to a scheduling oversight on their end. He continued that he (director) was in a “position over me,” denied owing me any apology or obligation to have replied to me over the past two weeks, and advised me to “move on.” He said that I was “not a winner” and “not the type” they would hire.
