I purchased a 2013 Nissan Murano from them for $5,000 cash plus temp tags / reg plus a additional $392 cash for a 3 month warranty. I bought car on 07/31/2024 ..car was great until 10/15/24 the transmission began slipping and it wouldn't accelerate upon stopping ..so I had my long time mechanic hook up a diagnostic machine BUT at this time the check engine light was not on so he said his machine would locate the history of all codes in car ..he found 3 codes all related to transmission/cvt transmission. I immediately contacted dealer they said to bring it there n they will fix it .2 days later the check engine light did come on and upon having it towed there today 10/22/24 they found 2 active codes for transmission as well. .so they called my warranty people but apparently the warranty expired not on 10/31/24 but in the mileage 127.600 I think I was over by 755 miles. So therefore now warranty isn't gonna to help me pay for anything. I began to cry bc I had $6000 cash that I made from selling my dead mothers trailer in July I gave them almost $5500 cash .they agreed to buy a transmission and install it but expect me to pay $1000 up to $1500 to them to fix it. I don't have it I've missed 4 days of work I transport my kids to and from school they've missed 2 days of school ..I don't believe I should pay anything ..I asked them to replace it with a cheaper car from there lot. Refund my money or do the repairs ande not be responsible to pay anything bc $5500 cash and 2 mths later I have no car. There has to be a lemon law to protect people like me

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your concerns with the 2013 Nissan Murano. We understand how frustrating this situation can be, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify our position.

As stated at the time of purchase, the vehicle was sold "AS IS." This means that once the sale was finalized, we cannot guarantee the condition of the vehicle beyond the point of sale. We also provided you with a third-party warranty option through Secure Care, which you chose. This warranty had a limit of either 4,500 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first, and unfortunately, it appears that the mileage limit was exceeded.

We understand that this is a difficult situation, but unfortunatley due to the contract details we are unable to help at this time

Attached is a copy of the warranty document for your reference. We truly wish we could do more to assist you, but based on the terms of the sale and warranty, we are unable to provide further support in this matter.

Thank you for your understanding, and we wish you the best in resolving this issue.

    Sincerely,
    NEXT MOTOR LLC

    Regards,
Complaint ID: 22462360I HAD A certified mechanic retrieve the history of this vehicle and with his diagnostic machine he was able to retrieve 3 codes all for the transmission issues that were intentionaly deleted...So with that being someone knew about this issue ..please see attached report..I guess its ok for Car businesses to sell a car for $5100.00 plus a warranty for $392 and 2 months and 2 weeks exactly the buyer is to accept the loss of all the money she paid for a car ..The business should received cash from me and they should help install a used transmission at least at no cost to the buyer..I GAVE ALL THE MONEY I RECEIVED From MY DEAD MOTHER WHOM LEFT IT TO ME 3 MTHS AGO When SHE DIED AND I DONT have the money to pay the $1500 more you requested to install a used transmission..if I did have the money why would I even take that chance and then the possibility that the used transmission could do the same exact thing to me a month or so later ..or you could of exchanged this vehicle for another one on your lot. Then you could fix this one you just sold me n resell it...I WOULD EVEN ACCEPT A Vehicle OF LESSER VALUE..I AM NOW Without A CAR AND IM A MOTHER WHO TRANSPORTS HER Children TO SCHOOL  EVEYDAY THEY MISSED 4 DAYS OF SCHOOL AND I AM NOW DEPENDING ON A FRIEND TO TAKE THEM. I SHOULD NOT BE IN This SITUATION BEING I JUST PAID 5100 Cash on August 1 2024 for my new. Car.  Thanks so much for all your help. .

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. I understand how frustrating this situation must be, especially considering the circumstances you mentioned.

In regards to your request, we can offer you the option to trade in the vehicle. However, please note that we would need to inspect the car in its current condition to determine its trade-in value. Once we have assessed the vehicle, we will provide you with the value, and if you are satisfied with the offer, you can trade the car for another vehicle from our lot.

As for the warranty, I regret to inform you that it has expired, and unfortunately, it was provided by a third-party warranty provider. While I did assist in submitting a claim to the warranty company, the coverage has ended, Since the warranty was not directly provided by us, there is limited action we can take at this point.

We understand that this situation is difficult, and we are here to work with you within the scope of what is possible. If you would like to proceed with the trade-in option or have any further questions, please let us know.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Sincerely,
