Santafe 2019 is under warranty. My check engine light came on and I drove straight to the dealership. After discussing items with a service rep I was told I will have to pay for the diagnostic test even though it’s under warranty and the check engine light was still on, the dealership confirmed. I was told I would have to wait until mid June for them to even run a diagnostic test which was ok with me as long as I was able to get a loner car. The service manager told me no I will not be allowed to have a loaner car. I walked over to where the GM would be and he is out of the office or so I was told. After speaking with Eric sale manager of Chevy (Porter) he told he would resolve it. The two spoke and asked for me to come back out of the waiting room and told me there is nothing Hyundai or they can do. I asked if either dealership had a demo veichle I could take both managers locked eyes and said no. I told both manager I do not feel safe driving a car that a Service manager deemed unsafe to drive they still pushed the issue of they can’t do anything even though it is illegal to send a customer home with a car that is no longer safe to operate in the state of Delaware. They both then called the police and I was told never to come back to Porter Hyundai again by the officer. I was profiled and told to drive an unsafe car that the Hyundai dealership and manager deemed to be unworthy. I asked the police officer if this is an outstanding legal issue now and his response was I don’t know. an officer should no the law if they are enforcing it. I am very dissatisfied and have been disrespected by not one but two managers regarding my experience today. From my point of view they did not like the laws I was citing to and were both unwilling to help or provide any resolution. What I received at Porter Hyundai today was resistance and no movement form both managers. Hyundai employees called two state police officers on a customer. This is excessive and extremely disrespectful.

Try getting your free oil change that new Hyundai buyers are promised.... Was told on 2 seperate occasions that it was a drive through service and they WILL NOT make an appointment for. Fine... I tried and was told wait ime was over 3 hours. tried again 2 months later. Same excuse. It seems as though this so called dealership only has time for paying customers of which I thought I was as I paid TOP DOLLAR for the 2023 Santa Fe Calligraphy. Hyundai is making promises on warranties that Porter Hyundai simply will not live up to. I feel I was Duped and will not buy another Hyundai , much less ever try to deal with Porter Hyundai again...I have better things to do with my time... What a JOKE..... PS, I would not even give this dealership one star but HAD TO......To post this review

Came in after GM advised I should since my check engine light had come back on after repairing an issue at my personal mechanic and the issue was covered under a mailed notice and existing warranty. Reimbursement for cost of repairs had expired. Fine. GM’s working with me to get it reimbursed anyway since their customer rep had told me it would still be honored. Porter calls me claiming that the “faulty part” was not a certified GM part & wouldn’t honor the warranty as a result. “Not a GM serial number”. Strange as I watched my garage order it through a Chevrolet dealer. Went to pick up car with my garage’s & other dealer’s receipt in tow to prove authenticity. Nope. Needs to be the original. I’m the child of small business owners. No business is going to hand over an original. I suggest they call the other dealership themselves since the guy confirmed himself they work together frequently. He claims he can’t due to the Privacy Act & that I need to get my hands on the original. Told to wait for Porter to call GM & decide whether they’d cover it or pay the diagnostic fee. The only reason I’m there is because GM insisted I go to a Chevrolet dealer in order for repair to be free of charge. I’m not paying the charge so can’t have my car back till they speak with GM. Did my own digging by calling both my garage AND the dealership they got the part from. Both were shocked to hear that Porter was claiming another dealer was selling after market parts as GM parts. This other dealer immediately offered to do the repairs for me, expressed that they ONLY sell GM parts, said that he calls other garages/dealerships all the time for customers so Privacy Act claim is BS, AND even told me THEY had heard terrible things about Porter. My garage also had nothing good to say. Apparently they have a track record of refusing to honor warranties for cars they didn’t sell. GM is now escalating after hearing that they slander other dealerships and refuse customers.
