The beginning of May2023 I was transitioning back to work after being out 8 months for a total hip replacement. At that time, my car straight up died. The timing belt. Sadly I do not have the funds. So the car is scrapped. Was referred to Wags who frequents where I work, to golf. Wags was made aware of my situation.$1400. Is what my employer lent me and so off I went to wags where he sold me a 2002 car for $1800. Test drove left for appt. came back to purchase — no tag on back but I am told it passed PA inspection- Took the car went straight to dmv -check eng light comes on along the way- proceeded with inspection-failed. Was told to drive the car some highway miles and return. Return 30days still a fail. Throws out a code - I start to contact Wags - by text and by calling him. In this time the blower for the air - is starting to smoke and smell when turned on. Now I am texting him for this as well. Asking for a solution or recommendation -still no response meanwhile I am paying 200 dollars a month on this car. The car needs an intake gasket on the manifold. One shop says part is discontinued. 2nd shop $860. to repair with no problems. It is impossible for me to do. So dmv a 3rd time $60. His name is in their systems with complaints. I texted Wags on if he could make this right -via fix the problem, offer another car, refund the money. Wags seems to think it was a joke that I only had 1400.dollars. I wish that he would have told my manager when she called him that he could not do it. Instead he took that money and never looked back. I do not believe there was a buyers list- I never removed anything from the windows. I was dupped by this man. I believed he flipped the code before I drove it. It was signed by me for “as is” with the belief of the PA inspection and integrity of this man. It has been a horrible experience quite unsettling and stressful. I also spoke with the Supervisor at dmv and he truly was sorry.
