    On May 5th a representative from Apple Eletric came to our home to address the issue we had called about. When calling Apple the issue was described in detail. We wanted them to replace a light above the third floor stairs, telling them the issue was scaffolding of some type was needed to reach the area in which the light was located. A ladder would not be sufficient. A representative came out with a small ladder, looked at the area and told us he was unable to reach the light. He then left. We have been billed $75 for the visit. We were told the charge per hour for the work to be done was $150 per hour. The representative did nothing. He looked at the job, said he did not have the proper equipment and left. We feel as though we represented the job description adequately and which gave them the heads up for what was needed. We do not feel as though we should have been charged. Now they are threatening to send us to collection to get the $75.

    Thank you for bringing this
    issue to our attention. After 31 years in business, I have never dealt with a
    complaint from the Better Business Bureau. Therefore, I am taking the customers
    concerns seriously. I have spoken with the front desk office personnel, service
    electrician, and customer. The customer advised our front desk personnel that
    they needed a light changed in their eight-foot-tall stairwell. This information
    was relayed to the service electrician who came prepared to remove and replace
    a fixture that was eight feet above the stairwell, upon arrival the electrician
    reported the light was higher than 8' and he was unable to safely remove and
    replace the light. The electrician explained this to the customer prior to
    leaving. The customer was charged a 75$ traveling fee. The customer paid the
    75$ in person without complaint. I consider this an error in the chain of
    communication between the customer and front desk personnel. As a quick
    solution, I will offer to refund the customer 75$.
