    To Kristine, Kellie and Heidi.
This is my perception and observations of SandCastles Contractors from Fenwick. This is exactly what happened to me. It was a tough old house and the prior contractor could not handle it. Gary only shows up to get checks. He would send unqualified people to do work. They ruined my newly purchased stairwell I bought myself.
I also was always running to get and pay for material and tools as I was on a timeline. One guy would not show for days at a time. My paints were accidentally mixed not once but twice. They broke my thermostat. I had to pay for that. Half of the drywall is not taped behind radiators. Some places, the drywall was not sanded and painted over. (I would be glad to give a walk through of my house to whom ever would like to see an example of the workmanship.)
The cabinets were put in incorrectly and I had to hire someone else to come in and fix the kitchen. They were damaged with screws coming through the sides.
The front porch was suppose to be shiplap. I walked in to see it stacked.
There was no communication, he subs out people who are not carpenters, but laborers and doesn’t follows through with supervision. I had to pay for dumpsters only to find that his subs were dumping other job site materials in it . The subs would not share tool and one would bring huge chains in my dining room and lock them up so others couldn’t use them. Gary did not supply them. I had to buy tools.
At one point, he actually called me and asked him to pay his guys because he was going to the beach. Needless to say I was beyond shocked.
They actually stop coming & he called me for a check and I told him no, not until he finishes. He told me he underbid it and he had spent too much money already.
He tries to intimidate people. He cussed at me on the phone. I still have his text messages and plenty pics.
I’M SURE HE WILL COME BACK AND DISAGREE, INSULT & GASLIGHT “ITS THE CLIENTS FAULT”NEGATIVE REVIEWS ON OTHER SITES.
    PLEASE BEWARE.

We are very pleased with the outcome of our projects (a 3 seasons sunroom with Pella windows & a natural stone paver with a grill insert area, surrounded by a knee wall). Gary and his team are very professional and are easy to deal with. The projects came out beautifully as envisioned. Highly recommended.

Sandcastle Home Improvements did an excellent job removing all the carpeting on our floors and replacing it with laminate flooring. We contacted Gary Wesner while we were in Florida and he took care of everything within two weeks. We are 100% satisfied with his work and highly recommend him. We would definitely use him again for future projects.

Just reading their responses to the negative reviews fella like Deja vu. He has the same script: I pulled guys off other jobs, we corrected everything, we did more than we were hired to do etc etc. I especially empathize with the reviewer who found him to be disorganized and a terrible GC. Gary is also a professional gaslighter.
We hired Gary in early 2024 to complete an extensive remodel of our beach home.
It was apparent that this project was outside of Gary’s ability as a GC
-Gary’s crew did not check the cabinet measurements prior to ordering. As a result our island was bumped 12 inches.
-The home theater contract explicitly stated that they would install a mini split which they did not.We installed a system at our own expense for $6000.
-We designed a back theater wall of acoustic panels. Despite having all of the specs and wiring MANY times in texts, emails, and in person, Gary’s crew made a mess of the wiring which resulted in that wall being completely carved up. We had to order a replacement for $2000
-They ordered and installed the wrong floor throughout the entire space. We chose a color called “cookie dough” and they installed “sugar cookie.”
-During demo, Gary supposedly had an electrician check some electrical panels to make sure they were for an obsolete alarm system before tearing them out. Once they were ripped out and walled over, we realized that those panels housed our main internet conduit.
-The range hood was improperly installed resulting in an awkward space and the pot filler being ridiculously high
-They installed the prep sink in the theater and the tiny theater sink in the kitchen where it is useless.
-They tore out the light switch to our garage lights. We can no longer turn them on.
-On our first weekend in the house, we saw that the HDMI wiring had been incorrectly installed. We had to hire an electrician to correct it
-They were utterly disrespectful of our space and belongings resulting in loss a damage of so many personal items

I am shocked the comments made. We did an a fantastic job, under unbelievably difficult conditions. We did a total remodel of her kitchen, turned her garage into a beautiful home theater, turned a section of the garage into a laundry room, turned a closet into a bar painted the 1st floor, accepted personal deliveries for furniture, . All of this while receiving multiple instructions from both the customer, her personal assistant, her interior designer from out of state and her husband! On top of this it was all done without the customer ever coming to look at the work. We never met until the end. When she saw the project she told us over and over what beautiful and excellent work. We had to move walls. Come up with solutions for custom scenarios. There weren't any problems until she set a unilateral timeline when we should be completed. At that point we had over 10 change orders by several of her people and the time was not enough to complete the job. When we couldn't get it done quick enough according to her, everything changed. Both myself and other workers were spoken down to with a lack of respect. I now understand no matter how good of a job is done some people cannot be satisfied. We left the job done as good or better than anyone else could have under those conditions. We lost money on the job trying to go above and beyond to do a great job for her. On top of that they wouldn't even pay for all of the work that was done.

Michael from Sandcastle Home Improvements did a great job with installing ship lap (similar to bead board) all around the peninsula in our kitchen. The area has been brightened up and looks vibrant. He also converted a storage closet into a pantry with four shelves and a brand new glass door. It looks fantastic and is abundantly useful. Another nicety about the work is that it took a number of days to complete and Michael cleaned up completely after each day on the job.. The cost for the job was very competitive. I would highly recommend this company for any of your household needs.

The work we contracted for was not completed. My husband showed him 3 times the what needed to be done and it was never done. My furniture was ruined with drywall dust by not covering anything. They broke a picture that cant be replaced. When confronted he just stated my place was just falling down. I told him we had mold remediation and that didnt matter. This company took me.

I am shocked. You are awesome, so patient, I owe ya, I love it and so does Mike. Take your time . These are all comments from your texts. We started working on a mobile home with an addition that was a DIY project. The addition was some of the worst work I've ever seen, but we tried our best. I did so many extras outside of the scope of work and I never charged you. I was told to send my men over between other jobs because you wouldn't be using your place. Your furniture was 20 plus years old and we had it covered. But we till had it cleaned. When I offered to pay for the picture you told me not to worry about it. I did this as a favor and I told you that many times when I didn't charge you for extras. IE: reinforcing you floors, installing insulation, etc. I am truly shocked.
