My complaint is against EP Engine Performance. I took my 2013 F150 truck in April 2023 to EP Engine Performance. I could never get a hold of ****** on the phone. When I would stop by and check in on my truck, he was never there. So in June 2023, ****** said my truck was finished. I was riding my truck, assuming everything was working properly until I went to Motor Vehicle but, my truck didn't pass inspection. So I called ****** and he told me to bring my truck back to him. So I brought my truck back to EP Engine and ****** "fixed" it. I paid him $4,500.00 cashier check, the first time I got the truck back. He said I could pay the remaining balance in payments. I rode my truck around for about 9-10 days after passing inspection. Then the brakes went out and the truck was making loud noises. I contacted ****** about the issues and he texted me and said I'll see what I can do. He didn't do anything for close to a week so I had to pay to have my truck towed to his shop. About two weeks later, ****** texted me and said I found an engine for $2,900.00 and was it ok for me. I said you're the mechanic and you would know better than me. I didn't know that he wanted more money from me at the time, for the engine replacement. So I asked him what did I pay $4,500.00 for to just have my truck working for 9-10 days in a text. He didn't reply back to my question. In the meantime, I’m paying car insurance for months, while my truck is just sitting there in at his shop. So I'm asking for all of my money back so I can get my truck fixed correctly with someone that I can trust. I just don't understand why he is doing this. I'm thinking it is because I'm elderly and African American. All I'm asking is for my money back and then I will have my truck removed from his property.
