    Visited the store on the day after Thanksgiving as we always do to Christmas shop. We usually buy lots of Christmas gifts in the store for my mother and many stocking stuffers on the cute table in the women's section. Unfortunately, the store was sold and they no longer have this cute section or the lively helpful salespeople. What a shame.
    In the past on black Friday, they also had a wheel you spun when you made a purchase. During COVID my daughter won a gift card for $25. It had no expiration date on it and was issued by previous owners. The new owner refused to accept it. When you purchase a business you assume the liabilities of the old (debts on the balance sheet) and usually the gift cards are a line item in the deal. I'm shocked they were so awful about it. They told me if we bought the gift card they would have honored it.
    Well then - goodbye Wilmington Country Store! I spent thousands of dollars in this store over the years. No longer! I will shop elsewhere. They made such a to do over this - you lost 3 customers so far. You win but really will lose over lost business!
