They JUST called me about an old Wells Fargo checking account I closed waaaay back in the 2010s in GOOD STANDING. I explained that I still have my letter directly from Wells Fargo explaining the account was closed with a $0 balance.

They still tried to insist (while stumbling over their words and with no logical explanation as to why a debt would have accrued AFTER the account was closed) I still owed $852.75.

I told them to send me documentation…I expected a letter but they emailed it with some bogus looking document…which lead me here.

What they are doing is ILLEGAL. Don’t pay them a damn thing and block their number

I received a call from this company saying I owed a debt of 947.41 to Fifth Third bank from over 12 years ago in another state? I did not recognize the debt. The person I spoke with said she was going to call my employer, report me to check systems, and be sued by their attorneys. The lady was verbally abusive yelling at me and extremely rude. It is against the law to be threatened in this way. The email of the company does not even work to respond back. Why are these companies being allowed to break federal law? I hope the BBB does something about this company and quits allowing innocent people to be abused and harassed

On 9-12-2022 I received a call from Franklin Moss and Associates claiming I had a bad debt with 5/3 bank, which was true. I had an overdrawn account with them that was closed in 2009. They said if I didn't resolve the matter with them today, in a settlement amount of $900 (40% discount) that they would report me to all the financial institutions and enter my info into the "ChexSystem" resulting in my bank accounting being seized. As suspicious as I was, I called 5/3 directly and found out they were not perusing the debt, that I was in "good standing" with them and I could walk in and open an account with them today if I wanted to. 5/3 previously sold their bad debts to a company by the name of UCR and UCR went out of business in 2014 due to some shady business practices. They don't know what happened to all those collection accounts from there. What's funny is I had a different company call me back in January of 2021 (American Recoveries LLC) with the exact same talk track and it worked, they got $300 out of me. I was scared my bank account was going to be seized! Shame on me for not doing my due diligence back then like I did this time around. I wasn't surprised after learning everything I did to see all these reviews that are identical to mine with the BBB. Everyone beware, tell these people to take a hike! They're not legit!

Franklin moss and associates said I owed 5/3 from 2015 and threatened to garnish my wages. I was really skeptical and they forced me to sign a document to make a payment. Somebody expose them because they are frauds and this is not right and they got the nerve to say they'll charge me extra $300.

I was contacted by a company by the name of Franklin Moss saying that I owed a dept from a Wells Fargo account. I paid that dept 2 years ago and I have proof of that debt. But Franklin Moss didn't want to hear it. The lady I spoke to was very rude and threatened to send someone to collect the dept with me. She wasn't hearing nothing that I had to say.

That's exactly what she did to me. Threatening me with a Constable coming to my door.

This company called and had all my personal info. I read into the laws of debt collection and threatening court actions is actually illegal in that state and also, the statute of limitations has been exceeded so no debt is owed. They stated I owed $985 from Wells Fargo that I opened up in 2015. Aparently it was a checking account. The threatens to garnish wages and file an injunction. I have never received any documentation from them. I informed them the statute of limitations had been reached and Good Luck!

This company is a scam. I never had a checking account with Wells Fargo as the collector suggest. Plus, he was raising his voice, and being argumentative. I hung up on the guy after I told him this. He mailed me something from Franklin and Associates. This company is a collections agency in Las Vegas, and it is not located in Delaware.

This company called me and left a threatening voice mail stating that an injunction was going to be filed against me and that attorneys were involved. I called back because I thought it had to be a mistake. I don't owe anyone anything. Off the bat "Tina Hall" was very combative. I tried to ask questions to get clarification and she was very rude and insulting. She was telling me that I owed $986.62 for an old 5/3 bank account for over 15+ years ago. She gave me all kinds of excused as to why I am just learning about it. Said it was charged off and they are trying to collect. Told me if I paid in full today it would be about $300 less. That if I didn't come to agreement with them right away, they would get their team of attourneys to come after me and would file with ChexSystems. Said they would hold me wages, said they would freeze my bank account. At one point I told them, I worked for myself and she said she would "place a lien" against my company. Threat after threat. She got tired of my questions and hung up on me.

I called back and was connected to "her supervisor" whose name was Perry Kennedy? Said he couldn't tell me what the $900+ dollars was for, due to privacy reasons?

I called 5/3 and they confirmed that I closed my account 15+ years ago in good standing and don't owe anything. They put a note on my account of the scam/fraudulent call and told me to disregard them
    .
I'm baffled at to how these people are doing this. They had my last 4 of my social and my old 5/3 account number.
