    This is my second new construction home in Delaware. We went with Ryan for our previous build, and being happy with them, we tried another new construction because we liked the house layout. I will never buy from Benchmark again. There are so many issues that aren’t resolved- we’re told that there’s nothing they can do about it. 1.5 years in, our roof leaked and when we reached out, they simply told us to contact the subcontractor- who we couldn’t find anywhere. We ended up paying out of pocket to have it fixed. Our stairs and floors creak horrendously and did prior to moving in, when I complained, I was told that it was due to “house settling” and will improve. 4 years in, it’s no better. We're going to have to tear all of the floor up to fix ourselves out of pocket again. That’s just 2 of several issues. Horrible experience, and our neighbors all have many complaints also, so I know it’s a problem with cutting corners, not just our house.

    buyer beware!! Had roof problems for months before they finally fixed after 4 attempts. Paid for a larger shower and wound up with a shower with two large molded seats leaving about a 2 foot shower. Builder said it's a 5 foot molded shower and that is what they put in even if my neighbor doesn't have that in his shower. In other words too bad. The other problems they say they will eventually get to. Not a pleasant experience.
