    Business Commitment: Resolve the check engine light (Code P0455) so my car would pass inspection.

    Nature of Dispute: After repairs, the check engine light reappeared with the same error code. Meineke then diagnosed a cracked emission evaporator canister, requiring an additional $1,000.00. The initial diagnostic was incomplete, as they failed to perform the necessary Smoke Test. This combined with my $2,200 debt and the inability to pass inspection, led me to lose confidence in Meineke.

    Resolution Attempts: Manager ****** suggested removing the part they installed in order to give me a receipt for a service that I have already paid for, I have lost confidence in their ability to repair my issue and refused to allow them to work on my car again, and because I wouldn't let him work on my car, he declined to provide a receipt unless I paid $75.00 or allowed further work. I agreed to pay the $75.00 to simply be done with this business but despite agreeing to pay, he claimed the computers were off and asked me to return the next day. I feel deceived and cheated out of my money, and I still cannot pass inspection, it is not my fault that his mechanic failed to correctly diagnose the issue and now they want me to pay for the mistake. It's bad enough that I now have to pay a 2nd time for a repair that I thought I was paying for and still can't get my car through inspection, the inconvenience, time, and money spent are unacceptable and I refuse to give this company any more of my money.

    This is a fairly simple resolution, I am not seeking a refund but simply a copy of my receipt without having to pay $75.00 and an apology from Meineke’s corporate office for this terrible experience. ******’s behavior, if he is indeed the manager, reflects poorly on the company’s professionalism. As I will be sure to never do business with this company again and advise all of my friends and family to do the same.

    I had my car towed here to have my serpentine belt replaced which I purchased the belt myself and just needed it put. I was told that in order to replace my belt they had put my compressor back in place because it wasn’t in place, I was charged over $1,100 when all they did was put my belt back on and after reviewing the paperwork all they did was replace the screws in my compressor. Upon picking up my vehicle I was told it was left on all night and it needed a jump. My AC in my car does not work now when it was working before they did whatever they did to my compressor. I feel I was taken advantage of because I’m a woman.

    I only go get my oil changed at this location. The last time they messed up and I decided to go to valvoline for my next oil change, once i was at valvoline they told me that they would not do my oil change because whoever did my last oil change used the wrong oil and they didn't want to be liable for whatever damage had been done from that. I went back to meineke to inform them of what they had done and George Spence told me that he'd put on my last receipt that I needed an oil pan etc., which is not true because he didn't give me a receipt at my last oil change because they messed up and stripped a screw, which caused me to have to leave my car over night and incur charges to get a ride from the facility since they couldn't put oil back in the car until the next day. My complaint is they purposely messed up my car in order to get more money / a bigger ticket from me than just an oil change. Other reports have mentioned the same things happening at this location.
