I contacted AAA's website to tow my vehicle. Before making the request I noted that my membership had expired. I renewed said membership and processed the request. A local towing company contacted me shortly after. They towed my vehicle to the desired location. My part of the bill was about $130, which I thought was high but I paid it. I did not know what AAA may or may not have paid. Weeks later I received mail that said I owed AAA about $140 for their portion. I thought this must be an error and disregarded it. Now months later I have a mar on my credit report and find that AAA has turned this matter over to **************** Systems. Also, I learn that AAA has cancelled my membership. So I paid a year membership for an overpriced tow and a ding on my credit. I contact this **************** Systems and they want my SSN and debit/credit card #s to charge me $1 to give me information. Um, I said no thanks to the lady who spoke broken English with a heavy foreign accent. I would like this resolved. I would consider paying AAA the difference between their claimed cost of $1`40 and the yearly membership of about $90 if this would come off my credit report. AAA and I could then live out life without one another. Why would the website lead a reasonable person to believe that renewing the membership would reinstate the benefits. Why would AAA pay it then come after me? Why would AAA cancel an annual membership without refunding the payment made?

Apologizes for the delay in responding, but it took further research and we had to reach out to a 3rd party for documentation.  The *** charge has been removed from ********************** membership and his account has been reinstated.  *** will also provide a complimentary Classic membership for his next renewal period.  Thank you
