I purchased two items from Colamco. What arrived was not what I expected based upon the descriptions on the site. I am willing to accept one at a fair/reasonable price and not at the overcharged price, and the other is completely wrong. Both product listings have errors that made for the confusion. Both were purchased on Nov. 4 2022.Order #******* is for a WatchGuard Firebox T80 Network Security/Firewall Appliance for $156.87. What arrives was a module for that appliance. Now that after weeks of trying to get them to send me the right product, they say they can't and will give a store credit. More on that later.Order #******* is for a Netgear Nighthawk RAX40 IEEE ******ax Ethernet Wireless Router, however their product photo is for a Netgear AX11000 and the price is $214.06. A Netgear RAX40 does not sell for $214.06 but rather, anywhere from $86 to $109 on ******* from resellers for example. ******* sold them for $111.43 from *******. I am happy to keep the unit, but want it at a fair price.Contract law is simple. They made an offer, I accepted the offer, I upheld my end of the agreement, they failed to uphold their end of the agreement. As for Order #******* I expect the product I ordered. It is not my fault that they sold out during the time of this dispute. One should have been reserved during resolution of this matter. Further, they are in a unique position to get another. Store credit is not acceptable. A return of funds is also not acceptable. Just send the product.I have screen captures, photos, and e-mails to prove my point.Cheers!!

    Business Response

After reviewing this case with our team, we have determined that the customer ordered the product he received. The picture of the item was incorrect, but the price, part number and description of the item is in fact what he received.

As a measure of goodwill, we have issued a full refund for both of this customer's orders even though it was in fact was he was offered and ultimately ordered.

COLAMCO has been a business in good standing for 40 years. We have over ***** reviews with over 96% being 4 or 5 star reviews.

I would encourage the BBB to take the opportunity to review the countless reviews on the third-party review platforms:

    Customer Answer

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Terms and Conditions absolve your responsibility under contract law. You made an offer, I accepted your terms, I lived up to my end of the bargain by paying the price you required, however, you failed to honor the agreement by sending the product. Simply put, it is your responsibility to make sure the information you are providing a paying customer is complete and correct. An online purchase is a contract for goods whether you make a mistake or not. That is your responsibility to live up to the faith and good will of the contract. Contract law was my business.

And while you said that I received the WiFi router I purchased, I agree. That was never the issue. The issue is that you charged me twice what the unit sells for everywhere else.

The product image was not the only error. The product number for the firewall was also incorrect. This is why I received a module in stead of a firewall. Since then I have found several errors in your site.

Lastly, aside from the sloppiness of your product listings, your support acted purely unilaterally, failed to see the faults of the product listings, and failed to create an actual dialog to resolve this issue. As a company, you had no way of knowing this because your stance was designed exclusively to enable the company. Some of your offers would have left me with nothing and a cost for shipping and restocking for errors you made.

You failed to act in a fair and reasonable way forcing me to take a hard stance - something I tried to avoid. I gave you weeks of my time and effort to find a happy solution for the both of us. You failed. What a shame.
