    I paid for a ONE TIME records search at a cost of $4.95 on 1/28/25. There was no mention in the checkout process of any further charges or recurring charges, or a need to cancel an account to avoid any further charges. However I was billed another $19.95 on 2/4/25. As soon as I saw the additional charge I contacted CourtRecords.us via Email at their support email address suggested in their email payment confirmation, but I did not get a response. I disputed the payment via ****** but the dispute was rejected since the amount did not match the original payment amount. I then called CourtRecords.us and spoke with an operator and a supervisor who told me that they were not able to refund the additional payment and could not provide a legitimate reason why they were not able to provide a refund. It is my position that this business is defrauding consumers by looping them into an unwanted and unadvertised subscription model and then refusing refunds. Additionally, their website fraudulently advertises their services as a ****************** when it is not. I would like nothing more than a refund of my $19.95, however their business practices are deceptive, and they should not be allowed to force customers into a recurring payment without CLEARLY stating that at checkout. Additionally if a customer disputes the amount the same day when no additional use of their service, a refund should be made immediately.

    We understand the concern shared by ******* *******. However, we explicitly state on our checkout page, in terms that must be agreed to prior to purchase, that the customer is purchasing a trial which at the end of seven days, if not cancelled, will automatically enroll them in a subscription to be billed monthly. This text appears in full for the customer's convenience, and a checkbox is provided for the customer to acknowledge they have read and agree to our terms of service and billing terms. It is not possible to move forward or complete the checkout process until the billing terms check box has been clicked, attempting to do so will result in an error which redirects the user to review the billing terms.

    Our terms of service ********************************************* and billing terms ************************************* are available on our website for further review. We also make it easy to cancel; no need to contact us. For further help, we have a dedicated ************* Team standing by 24/7, available via chat, email, and phone. As confirmed by the payment processor, ******, the charge of $19.95 was authorized at the time of checkout. We will uphold the decision in the dispute.

    Additionally, we do not advertise that we are a ******************* Our website clearly states that "CourtRecords.us is a privately owned website that is not owned or operated by any state government agency."     The website says you will get court records this website does not give you court records it gives you basic information on people search. Than if you want more in depth information they ask you to pay additional information.

    Purchased a report from this website for around $4.99 and wrote around the same time to tell them to cancel any "subscription" even though I did not want any other service from them other than mentioned report (which was in itself a scam as it didn't have anything concrete in it.)Had to send a second e-mail before they answered they couldn't find my information despite the fact that the only information provided to them was my e-mail address (all communication was sent from the same e-mail account.)Surely enough they charged me $19.99 (credit card charge confirmation enclosed). Wrote for the third time requesting that they cancel this service that was NEVER requested and a refund and they again refuse to do so specifying they cannot find the details of my account.

    Created an account to search for court records, I paid the $4.95 fee, then once I ran a record report, they wanted another $9.95 to access the full report. The ads and purchase agreements are misleading and make it appear as if the $4.95 fee and the $19.95 a month would offer full access, only to be told you need to pay an extra $9.95 to access reports.
