    The sales person said that in order to prepare my patio for the stain I must remove the carpet and glue off the floor. I received a quote for what they would charge to remove the glue that they called grind down. I couldn't remove the carpet myself and because this job wouldn't start for five months I hired a company to remove the carpet and grind the glue off the floor. After this was completed I notified American Concrete sales person that I had this part completed. I sent pictures of the finished floor. The sales person advised that there was no way the floor was ground down because she observed old pain on the floor. I told her that the company I hired asked about removing the paint but I told them only the glue as I was advised. The sales person she didn't knew there was glue but had no idea the floor had been painted and is sorry for the miscommunication. Bottom line is that American Concrete would have to grind the floor before doing the job. I then advised her that it was no longer cost effective for me to continue and have to pay again for the grind and to please refund my deposit. She assured me that there should not be any problem with my refund but had to speak with the owner of the company. The owner per the sales person advised that when I left a deposit for this job to be done the receipt says no refunds. But my deposit would be applied to any future jobs. Totally not acceptable that the sales person did not inquire further as to what could of been under the carpet besides glue. So sad that I have to write this negative review on a company that I believe does a good job staining but should throughly inquire further on what can't be seen. I only wanted my deposit because the sales person did not mention that since I already spent a lot of money preparing the floor maybe we could meet you half way if it needs to be grind again. This is why I'm just asking for my deposit back.
