    A computer repair shop took our computer for repair. They gave us no written contract or notice at all. They held our computer for over a year as we waited to get the funds to pay for it. They gave us no written notice that they ever planned to get rid of our device, yet they got rid of the device. We spoke with them about 3 months before they got rid of the device and did not express any issue holding onto it while we saved money to pay for the repair part. They lied and said they contacted us to let us before they got rid of it, but they did not. As far as my research goes they have not followed Florida law in how to deal with devices left at a shop. They should have given us written notice at their intent to get rid of the device. They should have given us written intent to get rid of it when it was first dropped off. They should have given us the proceeds if they sold it minus the service fees. They never sent us an invoice or fees for checking what was wrong with the computer. They never gave us any written invoices or estimates to repair the device.
