    On December 12, 2023 I purchased 14 shirts from OldSkool Shirts (oldskoolshirts.com). Order # is ******, and total paid via PayPal is $278.29. The shirts arrived, and I separated between those for members of my household vs those for Christmas gifts. Upon trying on the former, I found that they were a full size smaller than the standard, so I measured them against the size chart listed on the vendor's website and found them to be just over 2 inches smaller than advertised. I reached out in a positive manner, asking to see if we could come to a resolution as I was still interested in the shirts (they look excellent, but are simply on smaller-than-advertised shirts), and they were very aggressive and combative with their response. I provided a photo of the measurements and ignored their initial **** response, focusing on trying to resolve the issue and maintain the sale, but they retained their negative attitude and showed no customer service of any sort. After a few more attempts, they said that they best they would be willing to do would be to offer me 33% off of another order, but they didn't think it would make any difference. Worst customer support experience of my life. I then politely requested a return label, as it was clear they were not willing to work with me towards replacing the smaller-than-advertised products, and they told me they are not willing to do that. I am therefore submitting this case. My desired outcome would be to get the products I originally ordered (in the advertised sizes, 100% pre-shrunk cotton, 22" wide for US Men's size large), even though much of this order was intended for Christmas gifts and it would put additional expense on me to ship them back out after Christmas, but I'm not expecting their interest in the sale at this point, so I'll simply take my money back. Thank you for your help with this matter, and have a happy holiday.

    This customer first reached out to us months earlier on another marketplace requesting a certain brand blank to use we spent hours trying to accommodate the request but could not find anywhere to get those blanks. After months of the customer asking and asking for those we told them we can only offer two shirt options and GAVE SPECIFIC MODEL NUMBERS TO WHAT THOSE WERE. The customer decided on the one model we offered and next asked us to make custom listings of designs we do not sell on our site for him to buy. So we did that for him. 
    We sent the customer EXACT MODEL SHIRT SIZE AND COLOR HE ORDERED ALONG WITH 5 EXTRA GIFTS JUST TO SAY THANKS. Customer started to complain first about the prints being stiff first weve ever heard this nonsense in 8 years. Days later he comes with sizes and attempted to manipulate the measuring. Bottom line is we gave him the exact items he requested, the order was a custom order specific to him and therefore can not take the items back. We offered the customer several resolutions such as a coupon that would give him a discount for another order and also offered a partial refund. We have been in business 8 years now and never have I dealt with someone so delusional as this guy. Bought as Christmas gifts and refused to give them out even after he even says the shirts are great and just magically knows theyre not going to fit people. We sent out this same exact blank style over the holiday **** times and over the last 8 years ****** times and never has this come up so why should I now think were doing something wrong? Unreal.

    I am rejecting this response because:  The business' response is further evidence of their lack of professionalism, while also throwing in slander for good measure.  The bottom line is that the product sent does not match their listed size chart, and therefore is not what I ordered.  I attempted to work with them towards a resolution.  After enduring extremely combative responses similar to their official response listed here at the BBB (which gives one an idea of how they acted outside of this public space), their best offer was to have me pay for another set with a small discount, but ONLY IF I REMOVE MY BBB DISPUTE.  Not the actions of an honest businessperson.

    I've tried in good faith, and they've made it painfully obvious they have no interest in doing honest business.  If they wish to have the product back, they need to send me a prepaid return label within the next few business days, otherwise I will donate it to a local charity as it has no utility to me or my family.

    This customer ORDERED CUSTOM GOODS. Custom which means specific to his requests. Everything he ordered was delivered the same way we have done for all customers across many many different marketplaces going now for ALMOST A DECADE.  You'll notice this is only the third customer out of hundreds of thousands of ********************** delivered where we could not come to a compromise. 

    We made several attempts utilizing pretty basic industry standard resolutions for situations like this which we have done in the rare circumstance it has happened and it was worked out. Many times with customers who come back and spend more in future then they did on initial issue.  The customer refused a very favorable refund and demanded we make him new shirts which due to the complaints he has made about the shirts already I am not willing to take that chance on wasting more product and labor. It is very unfortunate that ************** chose to disregard any accountability for his lack of diligence prior to making the custom order and we wish him all the best.  I am sure the recipients of these shirts will be ecstatic who ever is to get them even if it is as he claims a local charity.     I am rejecting this response because: I have said my desired resolution is to have the shirts provided in the company-listed size chart, and provided evidence that it does not match that size. I would have been willing to work with the business, but being berated and eventually offered to pay another $181 for another batch of shirts if I take my BBB rating down doesnt interest me.  For the last time Ill ask whether youd like them back, or if I should donate them to St. Judes (my local charity). As you say, they are very nice shirts, as I stated from the beginning, theyre simply not the correct size (per size chart). I will not be responding any further, as this transaction has been a burden beyond ruining Christmas gifts.
