We hired DCC builder's in 2023 to replace our siding, gutters and the roof on our shed. Dealing with them was a nightmare. They couldn't get anything right. When it came time to do the work, they sub-contracted our project to another company. They did a terrible job, the siding had to be taken off and reninstalled correctly and they still didn't do a good job. The company tlcame our SEVERAL times to try and "fix" their mistakes. Now here we are 6 moths onto 2024 and I have siding falling off everywhere! I have tried reaching out to the office more times than I can count also leaving voicemail after voicemail with nothing in return. So I decided to drive to their office and everything is gone!!! I have no idea what to do. I've tried looking to find another location. Their isn't any. They are suppose to warranty my siding for 2 YEARS! PLEASE HELP.

There is some truth to what is claimed in this complaint.  There were some discrepancies early-on with what the homeowner thought they were getting versus what we thought we were providing - scope wise.  We got this worked-out though.  We do use subcontractors to do our work and, the sub we used on this project did not live up to our company standards.  So, we sent our superintendent to the project (with help) and, he took down almost all of the siding and reinstalled it correctly.  The homeowner was satisfied with the work at this point and paid their bill with us.  As of late the homeowner contacted us about "siding falling off everywhere"; to which, I assured the homeowner that we would rectify the problem.  Unfortunately, my superintendent wasn't able to get over there in a timely fashion so the homeowner chose to rectify the issue on their own.

When the homeowner last called, I spoke to her and, she explained that she contracted another company to come and rectify the issue.  She stated that the repairs cost her $5000.  I asked her to send pictures along with the invoice and, if it was legitimate I would pay for the work.  About a week passed and then she called yesterday to inform me that she sent everything to my email.  Upon review of the invoice and pictures, I concluded that the accusations are false.  The pictures show - only - 2 small pieces of siding that slid down from the top of the home and, nothing else.  I admit that those particular pieces on top should not have slid down but, the fix does not justify the invoice of $6500. Furthermore, when I logged onto this website to type-out my rebuttal, I can see that she is claiming $40,000 in damages.  Which is it?  $5000, $6500 or $40,000?  The original contract for the siding was only $15,716.54.  Common sense tells me that we could replace all of the siding with new again for the same price.

As a company, we have always accepted responsibility for any mistakes that we've made and, this project is no different. Should the homeowner decide to approach DCC Builders with a more reasonable proposal for rectification, we will definitely entertain it. Should she need us to make any other corrections to the workmanship within the warranty period, we will definitely take care it.  We've done 100s of siding jobs in our area and, this is the only one that seams to be a problem.
