    I signed a contract for home design services, engineered house plans, and permits with Mr. ******* ****. The contract was executed on 07/03/2023. From there Mr. **** failed to deliver on any of the services outlined in the contract. He continuously lied about the timeline. Multiple times claiming the engineered plans would be emailed over or submitted to permitting that day or very soon. After many months of no progress we finally decided in early 2024 to call it quits and requested a return of our ***** deposit. Mr. **** promised he would make us whole within a few weeks. It has now been 7 months since his last payment to us and he still owes us $5,749. He has not responded to the last couple contact attempts. And his responses to previous contacts where he promised to make a payment in 2 weeks that never materialized. Mr. **** signed the contract under an inactive business name **************************************************. However according to the state this entity was dissolved before signing this contract. His email signature included his asset engineering email address and the docusign included the asset engineering logo. I have attached proof of all this below. I have months of messages in order to be concise I have also included the last few messages of Mr. **** agreeing to refund us. I would also like to stress that we never received the plans he claims were finished conveniently right when we asked for our money back. I have also attached all payment confirmations from myself and Mr. **** along with a summary of those records.

    To the Complainant,

    The amount in question ($7,200.00) is inaccurate according to our records and we have already begun making payments towards this refund.  I'm not sure why this complaint has been submitted to BBB, but let's agree on the amount owed and create a repayment plan to satisfy this complaint.

    I am rejecting this response because: 

    The business owner avoids questions about setting up a repayment plan. And has since ignored all communications in attempt to set up the payment plan he promised.

    On November 1, 2021 we signed a contract for repairs on our kitchen and living room. This was due to a flood in which we filled a claim with our home owners insurance. We paid in full the contract of 5200.00. Since then he has sent a gentleman out by the name of Theo who put up a wall and mudded one spot in the ceiling . After speaking with Charles R*** ( whom excepted the 5200,00) numerous times even today he has failed to keep his promises of coming out and resolving this issue. We requested out funds back if he did not comply with his contract. Not to mention while Theo was doing the wall he drilled screws in our roof causing leaks in the kitchen in which we have to repair. This is a on going situation in which we cant seem to resolve without action. Please not that he also sent a gentleman by the name of Larry on June 14 2022 and again we hear nothing. Please if you can help us or guide us in resolving this issue we would much appreciate it.

    Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/31) */ We appreciate the opportunity to finish the project and we have been in contact with the customer numerous times. The customer is correct that (2) carpenters have shown up to perform the work, (1) carpenter built a chase in the kitchen and no longer returned phone calls. The 2nd carpenter has agreed to complete the work within the next 30 days. Please let me know if this is acceptable to the customer.
