Employed ********************** to repair my AC unit at,( which time , the heater was functional). Was told that the system was freezing up. Thawed unit, had it cleaned/serviced/refilled Freon. (I paid $200 for the first visit and $600 for the service call to inspect all of my (3) units.)Two weeks later, ac stopped working again. Was told to turn unit off for 12 hours whenever it happened. Using this method, ac was functioning sporadically. When cold weather moved in, I tried to use the heat with no success. Called them to see why the heat no longer functioned. On 12/7/2023, two "repairmen arrived and tinkered for a couple hours. Then said that it needed a part and that the owner would contact me when he found one. (One was holding my wiring harness Two days later I called for an update and was informed that my unit was irreparable and that I would be receive invoices for the service calls.one month later, I found another repairman who diagnosed the problem and repaired the system (including replacing the wiring to her heating elements that Mr. *********************** workers damaged) in approximately 90 minutes and charged $880!! The problem was the motor needed to be replaced! Obviously, Mr ********************** workers were not properly trained and his diagnosis was made for no other reason than to get me to agree to pay to have him install a $6000 unit (plus labor).

    Business Response

    Date: 03/21/2024

On 8/3/23, we responded to a service call request regarding ******************** A/C not working. We found the unit frozen and very dirty. The system was also overcharged with refrigerant. The unit was thawed, the coils were cleaned, proper refrigerant pressures were achieved and the unit was running properly. For this service you paid $200.00. Given the age and condition of the unit, a fill maintenance was recommended for all 3 units in your home.

On 8/29/23, we returned to perform general preventative maintenance on the 3 units, which included cleaning of the indoor and outdoor coils, vacuuming and flushing of drain lines, and checking all electrical components and system pressures. You were charged $400.00 for service of all 3 units which is very reasonable rate for the service provides. This requested work was necessary and completed properly. For this you are not entitled to a refund.

On 12/7/23, we responded to a service call request regarding no heat. After a full inspection of the system, it was determined the wiring connecting the heater was burnt, and a new heater was recommended a a repair of the wiring may leave a remaining fire risk. For this reason, we were not willing to repair the wiring, but replace the heater for $260. Invoice #**** for $120 was issued for the service call & diagnostic fees, which was never paid.

On 12/9/23, we responded to a service call request regarding your A/C not cooling. Upon inspection of the system, it was determined that the evaporator motor had failed, which is not uncommon for units of this age and condition. We offered to replace the motor for $380, plus diagnostic & service fees. Invoice #**** was issued for these fees for $120 and never paid.

Note that had you allowed us to replace the heater (not just repair it with the possibility of a lingering fire risk) and replace the motor along with the diagnostic fees (that were never paid), you would have paid $890.

Essentially what has happened is that we did the diagnostic work as you requested and were never compensated while you hired someone else to do the work we recommended for the same price.

We strive to make our customers happy and know we did our best, given the age and condition of your air condition system.
