This company sent a mailing with the specific wording " QUIT CLAIM DEED COURT RECORD NOTICE"then once opened you find that it is a service that "monitors" your title for a fee.NOT that there has been any fraud on your property OR that it is NOT from a government agency. The entire mailing is fraudulent and deliberately scary

    Business Response

We have received your complaint. Its unfortunate that you misconstrued the notice you were sent. That is definitely not our intention. The correct wording that is listed on the front of the notice you were sent is as follows, Quitclaim Deed County Record Notice.

These notices are being sent because of the increase in home title/dee fraud occurring across the country. The notice is a community notice, and the first paragraph of the inside message specifically states, ************** notice is not to frighten you but to inform you of your potential risk. The notice is meant to inform consumers that have recently purchased or refinanced a property in an area (ie, city, county or state), that have had an increase in fraud.

This was a factual message of concern for property owners, with an offered monitoring and recovery service discount. The messages, claim of services, suggestion to monitor your property ownership for fraud, and alert to be prepared for fraud which has increased recently; are all non-fraudulent statements.

The notice is meant to be taken seriously. Fraud is an enormous problem in our country which is quite alarming and concerning, and its been advised to monitor their properties being that for most consumers their property is the most expensive and valuable asset they own.

We were able to find your mail file from the information you have provided within this complaint, we see that youre not one of our customers. We will be placing your address on our do not correspond list, to stop any future alerts from being sent to you, to do our best to not bother you again. We wish you all the best with your property.
