    I am rejecting this response because:

    There are laws in place in ********* that clearly say it is NOT legal for them to bill EVERY RESIDENT the SAME WATER AND SEWER charge. They Must use the meters under our homes so that those of us with only 1 person are not being charged the same amount as those  homes having 2 or 4 residents using water.  I have checked with my neighbors and found out we are ALL being billed the same amount. And I am keeping track of my usage via the meter under my home noting that my usage is only Half that of other homes. I have documented these numbers and provided proof to Maplewood with no resolution.  Recently they issued another document saying they would start using our metered readings as of February 1, 2024. I can provide a copy of this letter also. Basically admitting they have not been following state statutes.  Please let me know what else you want me to provide for you to continue to ask for my refund on overcharge of water and sewer.  Thanks

    We have been in communication with ******** prior to the receipt of this complaint and have engaged in several discussions regarding the matter. On September 2nd, we issued a notice regarding the upcoming change in utility billing, which is set to take effect on October 1st. Our company employs the RUBS **************************** method to fairly allocate utility charges across the community. In addition to the welcome letter and the utility notice, we also requested that all residents provide information regarding any additional occupants residing in their homes and updated our system accordingly.

    We have sent out a notice that we are going back to using the water meters to bill water based on usage. ************* was a recent acquisition on 8/28/2024 and notices were received by residents on 9/02/2024 that the utility billing was changed to the RUBS method. The RUBS method was utilized during the beginning period while we were researching the best way to submeter the homes. The new notice sent out on 12/4/2024 states that we will now be utilizing submetering methods to provide more accurate billing to each individual home. As of 12/15/2025, A new contract has been drawn with a submetering company and new meter readings will be billed starting 02/01/2025.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    In the meantime,  they have billed ME twice what I owed for my water and sewer, because I read the meter under my home every 2 days. And have submitted my reading to corporate for correct billing.  But they have ignored me and continued to bill be twice what I owe for my water/sewer. For a household of 1. I have asked my neighbors with households of 2 and households of 4 and they were billed the same as me!!!! Therefore I  still feel I should be refunded for the overcharge. This RUBBS method was NOT being used!! Because the number of people in each home was NOT being taken into account. They billed all of us the same exact amount!! I should be refunded the $25 I asked for. And this month my water sewer was doubled too!! So they actually owe me even more.
