*********************************************** agreed to move up to 300 cubic feet from ************ to ******* from a ********* location where items needed to be moved out of the storage, to an elevator to a loading dock that a truck backs up to. The movers got there and didnt know that the owner was on site and decided to inflate the amount of material by 500 cubic feet. They tried to add extra ***** for that plus 250 for carrying the materials on a dolly to the truck. We offered to bring the stuff to the loading zone and then allied *** **** assured us we didnt have to do that and there wont be a fee. She also told us that we can have them load up 300 cubic feet and they can leave anything over that in the unit. At that point the movers left to have dinner and didnt return, we called Allied and the whole conversation returned to how much extra stuff was in the unit. I told them that we measured every single item and they can verify it and then he total is well under *********************************************************************************************************************** returning because we were being difficult. So, the fact that we challenged their inflated measurements and priced them to be incorrect made them abandoned the job. I have put a stop pay on the check for ****** and now want them to compensate us for the harassment and unprofessional conduct. We wasted an air ticket and now have to get our daughter back from ************ who is at this moment crying and putting all the stuff back into the unit. She has videos we sent to the movers with measurements. I have documentation to prove all of this. Allied also records all calls and those should be pulled as well. ****** ***** is the sales *** whose number I was able to dial until two hours ago but now his phone cant take calls from my area code. This company is fraudulent. Buyers beware.Initial Complaint

Booked the moving intermediary, they offered 30 days free storage and offered to extend that to 45 days. I am calling and emailing every day to schedule my drop off, and cannot get ahold of anyone. There are 3-4 phone numbers listed, some don't work, some the voicemail is full. I'm moving in to my new house and cannot get ahold of them to schedule delivery. I don't know where all my belongings are.Initial Complaint

We contacted *********************************************** on 8/18/2024 regarding a move ******** to ******** A8256851.August 20, 2024, we were sent a moving estimate totaling $2948.00 with a move date of 8/29/2024 which we agreed.8/27/2024 after receiving a second payment totaling deposit of $1617.35 two days prior to the move date. A representative from *********************************************** arrived at our home to assess the move. At this time, it was determined by the assessor that the estimate needed to be adjusted. Later 8/27/2024 we received a new estimate with a new total of $5079.00 an increase of $2131.00. We had no choice but to cancel the move with AVL immediately.8/27/2024 I contacted *** ***** with my cousin (******) on the line who acknowledged the cancelation and stated that the deposit of $1617.35 would in fact be refunded into my account. *** has a ******* cancelation requirement. We canceled the same day of the new estimate. The policy also states refunds are at the discretion of management. We had to find a new affordable moving company ****, cancel flights, loss wages and housing. There was lack of empathy and unprofessionalism heard by Mr. ****** apparent coworker/associate who answered the telephone completely laughing and mocking the situation. We attempted to contact Mr. ***** after not receiving the refund to no avail. This situation could have been avoided had the assessor arrived before the two-day impended move. Mr. ***** may have been annoyed by the number of calls, but where is the moral compass to at least take the call? Mr. ***** refused to refund and calls stating the electronic signature on 08/23/24 also applied to the new estimate on 08/27/24.We have depleted everything we have assuming Mr. ****** would honor the agreement to provide a refund. The transaction was made between me and ************************************************ moving company" which was mis representing themselves as ************************************************" a completely different company that was not the people i was looking for and they are brokers not the actual carriers that being said i was lead to believe by them that i was indeed with the right people. while i was on the phone they zoomed through everything i had signed a contract while they were explaining to me how trusted they were and the job they do and i give them my card details. which what they didn't inform to me was that they were a moving broker which it clearly states in their contract that they must say that to me on the line which they had not. once i figured out i didn't have the right company i was then faced with a customer service lady ash that with her own words said " why would we ever say we are a broker" and then was connected me to dud ***** which is most likely an alias for the real head of the scheme ******* ******** after i didn't take the option of no refund. dud ***** and i had a conversation which then went back to the question, am i going to get a refund in which he said no and then i asked why was i never informed about them being a broker which his response was "we didnt know what you want" but they are obligated to disclose that information per contract. when asked for the voice recording i was given the run around which would be the proof of them misleading, misrepresenting, and no disclosure of them saying they are brokers and not the actual carriers which would have alarmed me right away. they violated their own contract by not revealing their true role, manipulated me into signing by talking over the contract and now refuse to take my calls as they do not want to provide the evidence of them being a fraudulent company and a search on their company i also learned that they are not even allowed to offer these services as their insurance has been cancelled. and now they are holding my hard earned $
