At the end of our stay they price gouged us for over $100 for electric and doubled the electric rate for Bonifay areas electric. When I showed her the electric rates for her area, she walked away not giving me clear details of where she gets her rates. When asked when we first arrived she said our deposit would cover our electric cost and anything under we would get back. Never was told we would have to pay anything extra till after we was leaving. This place is price gouging people when they know they have them on the hook, and I would like my money back.

Firstly, we would like to point out that this site was rented by a Ms. *******, not the complainant.
We refer you to the Tenancy Agreement signed by Ms ******* dated 08/16/22, the first line of which states; "Your site rental includes the first 150KWH of power per month. Additional power usage will be charged at $0.20c per KWH and payable with your next rental payment". A copy of this document was given to Ms. ******* but we have no way of knowing if it was shared with her partner.
The cost of the excess electricity is calculated from our West Florida Electric Bill. The amount is adjusted by deleting a cost for yard lighting rental leaving a cost of $1175.96 for 6689KWH.
THIS EQUATES TO 17.5805 CENTS PER KILOWATT HOUR.
We round this up to 20 cents as is usual business practice. We don't believe that a margin of 2.4195 cents can be described as "Price Gouging"!!
Electric usage varies greatly between our guests as it does in any residential situation. Each site is metered so guests can check their usage at any time.
Copies of the documentation to substantiate the above will be forwarded to the BBB.
We consider this complaint to be without foundation.
