I was at my community mailbox when the *** President stopped his vehicle to tell me something while I was at this mailbox. He said "you should have water back on. He said this since the irrigation pumps were out 3 and a half months. I said funny thing since my filter just blew out of ground. ************* said No worries Ill have *** (Little Farmers) come over. While there. *** of Little Farmers said could have been blown out when the (***) pump turned on. ************* tried to talk him out of that statement, despite it obviously was the *** pump blowing it out. Both *** and *************, said to me we will take care of this. As if if its a *** issue AND there would be no cost to me. At no point did *** or *** of Little Farmers say any cost was involved. As I thought only a small cheap plastic piece was only the involved issue. I later found out Little Farmers swiped my filter without advising me. The next day this ************* tells my wife we owe $120. A bill later sent.*** himself said to my wife I thought *** community was paying for this."At no point did this business say a cost was involved as I thought *** pump blew out my filter. And only a cheap plastic piece was involved. Never knew they swiped my filter to replace without my knowledge. Should this company have advised me of a quote before any work was done? i had no way of denying them from doing any work. Now I am sent a bill for $120. I realize filter on my property. But truly believe *** pump blew it out when turned on after being off for 3 and a half months. But the true issue is a company doing work on my property without advising what was being done. Never advising of a cost before doing any work. They only said "I will take care of." ****** I was led to believe it was just a small plastic cap piece that was broke when *** pump turned on.

    Business Response

    Date: 01/24/2023

This response was taken verbally by BBB:

We take care of all the pumps in the community. The pump that the consumer was on was down for 4+ months due to part shortages. There are 40 homes on the street and his was the only one that broke. It was apparent that the top was snapped off. It wasn't broken by the water pressure. The community members are responsible for their own property. We did the repair at cost. We feel that the we were caught in the middle of a dispute between the *** and the member.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is somewhat satisfactory to me.

The problem is the alleged business person knows he stated it was the pump that could have caused top plastic piece to break. He knows he stated I thought community paying for it.

He is well aware that he told his worker in front of me The filter is fine. Then behind my back this person went back on my property and took my filter and claimed it was damaged. He never advised me of this filter being replaced. He wants to blame ***, but its his business who failed to advise owner of any cost. Despite this, I have already paid bill already.

    Sincerely,
