      3 outlets replaced for $483.74. There were no power problems or even diagnostics needed, as we had a 4 Point inspection that revealed 3 small issues, with photos as reference. I was not present on the date of the repair, as did not not own the property which had a tenant. These 3 minor corrections were necessary for the property transfer. I have replaced all outlets, fixtures and switches in all of the homes I have owned, this invoice was far more than expected.I emailed Richards with one line, "How can you justify the invoice amount for the work?" The reply was, "It is the price for this task." The invoice did not detail the parts and labor. I received no explanation as to what was involved and reflected in price.. When I pressed further as to again-why, I quote a response, " There is nothing to concede at this point, and there is no need for protection, we were just stating that we are a very reputable company have over 1400 positive reviews that agree. I am not sure why this has become so argumentative as we are attempting to provide you answers. I dont think you will be satisfied with any answers or explanations at this point." Again, no explanation. The representative's attitude was very quick to dismiss my question and change the topic, and use the email to cite their ratings, to point out that these reviews, (real or not), should prove that Richards is a reputable company. NOTE TO WOMEN: Do you think the company took advantage and exerted their power in billing, because they could? Did he use tactics to dismiss actual concerns and turn it around to make me the problem? Do you recognize that $483.74 is certainly an inflated charge for a straightforward swap of outlets? The emails amounted to, "Do you know who we are? You are unreasonable, argumentative and Richards has the power."Look for another company, as this one is part of the problem that we face too often. I encourage you to look for a smaller company with fair pricing and a better culture.

      I don't understand disputing these charges, this customer was informed BEFORE the work commenced what the cost would be and then told us to proceed. And to minimize the work that was done to make it sound "simple and easy" just isn't true. We are a very reputable and licensed company that uses only the best materials, carries more insurance coverage than required and we only employ top notch technicians, which receive training often, to be sure our clients are getting the best service possible. We're not "fly by night" rip-off contractors or "handymen" and there is a real value in the service and warranties that we provide. And to say we have something against women is just absurd. Us bringing up the fact that you approved the total amount PRIOR to work commencing is not being dismissive or "exerting our power in billing", we just simply stated the facts. In my opinion, this person just wants all the service and quality that we provide, just for a "handyman" price. I hope you have better luck finding what you are looking for in the future.

      Proving my point - no explanation to our readers as to why the cost is so high, just more statements claiming reputability. I am happy that my review has posted, and the response. This company has no knowledge of what I want, and I think we all know that they do not wish me better luck. i hope this gives potential customers pause.

      I had a leak suddenly start from under the backside the bathroom wall near the tub drain. At first I thought it might have been drain related, but it turned out to be a water supply problem instead. They sent their technician **** who was very professional and diagnosed that it was the cold water supply line coming in under the slab. We agreed to change the way it came in and he quickly bored a new hole through the wall onto the tub access and had it fixed in a jiffy. All right before Hurricane *** started to approach. It was a job well done and I would recommend this company and crew highly
