      I was a customer beginning *********. After my YEARLY one time purchase, I had decided to manually renew in 2021. I did not manually renew again after. They do have an ongoing monthly payment option, however, I NEVER agreed to this option, which is why I paid yearly, twice. I noticed when paying my recent credit card bill that I was receiving random 20 dollar charges from Webstarts for the past three months. This came as a surprise to be because I have not utilized their services or have paid for them since 2021. When going back again through my transactions, I then found out that the charged me a whopping $168 back in 2023 without my approval! Again, I have not utilized their services since I paid for the 2021 year. I went ahead & attempted to get in contact with them to resolve. You are unable to get ahold of the company by phone unless you request an appointment with them. I was called later than my scheduled appointment time by *****, who I then explained my concerns to. I was very kind & shared that I was seeking for help based off of random sporadic charges on my card that I did not notice until I the recent notification on my my CC. I was up front & stated that I appreciated his ********** assistance. He was very short with me from the get-go & said he was already overly generous to me by refunding the last 6 months of payments. Although I appreciated those refunds, those are a small fraction of the amount due to me. He did not want to hear anything else from me & told me I had no right in calling about a charge a year later. He did not want to hear about why I found that charge in the first place. He just wanted me off the phone.Webstarts is taking money from small business just trying to find a good option to utilize a website. I am extremely disappointed in their lack of ************************** service. Just because a company has a card on file does NOT mean they are okay to charge your card as they please.

      We have resolved the dispute in the customer's favor and have refunded the payment of $168 from 4.2.23 for the yearly Pro Plus subscription (service period 4.22.23 - 4.22.24). Our records show the payment recurred per our automatic billing policy (www.webstarts.com/terms) which the customer had agreed to at signup, checkout, and before every login, but we were able make another exception for this customer and refund the yearly renewal payment from 18 months ago. Please close this complaint.
