On 4/18/2022, I paid ***** ****** from The Gutter Guy at **** ***** ** ******** ** $500 deposit to do gutter work for me. I went on vacation April 29, 2022 until May 5, 2022. On May 9, 2022, my daughter texted him to find out why the work had not been done. He replied he was waiting for me to return from vacation. Ok, that sounded logical. On May 25, 2022, she texted him again. He said he was catching up on some other work but would be there soon. On May 31, 2022, he texted saying he was planning on being her today but his son has covid so he probably does to. On June 3, 2022, he texted that he was still in quarantine. On June 20, 2022, she texted him to see when he was coming to do the job. He never texted back. On June 24, 2022, she texted him again telling him that if he couldnt do the job, we would find someone else. On June 25, 2022, he texted back that he would be over soon but he had just broken 3 ribs so he has to heal. Yesterday, July 12, 2022, my daughter found out he has scammed several elderly people in Palm Coast. She told him has needs to return the money or we are going to the authorities. Since he has two small children, she gave him the opportunity to repay the money monthly at $100 per month. The first payment is due this Friday 7/11/22. If he misses a payment, the deal is off. Based on what we have heard about him, he is NOT going to pay. Even the courts have had judgements agains him but not sure if he has ever paid the money back.
