    On 10/06/2024 my car was ordered to be towed illegally out of a family friends yard by police following an event that had no dealings with my vehicle. Upon finally locating my vehicle I am being told I must pay $1100.00 to get my vehicle back with an additional $45.00 per day it’s being held. The crime that was committed had nothing to do with my car and the arrested person name is not attached to my car. There was no phone call made to me or the homeowner from which the car was parked in yard to confirm who the car belong to. There was improper protocol used by the arresting officer and I’d like for my car to be released immediately. Below I will attach a screenshot from the homeowner stating his address with an invite as well as the car being accommodated as far as parking in the yard.

    I am following up regarding complaint ID ******** from *** ********** ****. After our initial response, I conducted further research to ensure accuracy and compliance. I spoke to ** **** and asked her for documentation about the service that was rendered on behalf of the ******* ******** **********. 

     

     

    Since I did not hear back from *** ****, I independently contacted the ******* ****** ********* ****** and submitted a public records request to review all the documentation related to this tow. I confirmed that the Sheriff’s Office ordered this tow due to a legal arrest and concerns involving the vehicle’s driver.

     

    Upon reviewing our records, I verified that all charges were fully compliant with both ******* statute and our contract with ******* ******. Additionally, although authorized, we did not apply the optional lien release fee of $250. All charges reflect the standard rates set by the ******* ****** ********* ****** and are aligned with our rotation rate agreement.

     

    I spoke with the arresting deputy sheriff last night, and he confirmed that the vehicle was towed by their agency and that they had full jurisdiction to order the Tow as it was used in a crime. 

    This matter was handled in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and I believe our efforts to charge less than the maximum allowable amount demonstrate good faith.
