      I moved to ******* in April 2023 to care for my ailing father who is a 100 percent disabled Vietnam veteran. I had a license issue in ************* and was required to get an IId installed. I reached out to smart start as a company to get this done. The only service station close by was Auto sound of **********. All charges I owed were to be paid to smart start. From the time of install I was charged every month by this garage Auto sound even though I was paying all my fees to smart start. It is clear this garage was running a chop shop thing as they charge people on the side cash for no reason other than greed and taking advantage of people. After 6 months I had been paying my monthly bill but it was going for my monthly install to the Auto sound who I assumed was a reputable dealer for smart start Instead they were pocketing my money and I became behind on my smart start bill. The last 5 months I've been unable to work as my dad has gotten sicker. He is now in home hospice and needs 24/7 care so I can't pay my past due to smart start and my car has been stuck at this chop shop of a business. A month ago the gentleman that runs the business ***** ****** texted me and asked if I would be willing to rent the car to so employee of his until I can pay smartstart As I couldn't afford to pay them still I agreed to do this at 60 dollars a week. The first week I was paid. The last two weeks I have not been paid. Despite numerous texts and promises to pay me. It escalated now as he told me I owe him 1500 dollars or I won't get my car back. He also illegally calibrated my device in my car to let his employee use it. And is now blackmailing me to pay 1500 dollars which I don't owe. And he should never have been given a dime in the first place. I do not want my vehicle in the possession of a crooked business person like this. And should be reimbursed for nearly a year of him taking advantage of my situation. My cell is ************. Please help. ********

      I put a review on ****** that this company texted me the link. I told exactly what happened. The owner says it's my fault and puts down the radio I brought to be put in. And I paid $69.00 for the radio and paid him $213.00 for my radio to be installed with a bracket. Not only did I have to come back with old one because he never order the one he said he did when me and my husband came in. Also he said his employee took another hour to install my radio. HELLO I paid $213.00 for my radio to be installed in the first place. This owner is greedy, money hungry and rude, no customer service skills at all. I expect when I pay for a job to be done and it wasn't. I shouldn't be berated about it when I wasn't even in the wrong. People need to know how this owner operates his business in **********, **.
