I live in my RV at the Cedar Blessings RV park. They are kicking me out without any warning about what my small dog as done. All they did was send me the code enforcement law. I had no way of correcting my dog within the extremely short time frame. I have a shu shi and he is very friendly towards people. He has been attacked by bigger dogs in the past so he does bark when he sees a big dog. My mother even paid the rent up front so I can stay here because they're first complaint was me paying rent late even though I paid the late fees. I live by myself with my dog. I work at the post office in Chiefland Florida. My biggest complaint is after my mother paid three months rent, a week later they're kicking me out again and they refuse to give my mother back her money. I have let me dog stay with a friend temporary until I move my 5th wheel but they don't care and still want me out. I have literally done everything they asked and they just want me out and to keep my mothers money. I'm older so I'm very quiet.

    Business Response

    Date: 04/06/2023

In response to the complaint filed concerning the circumstances surrounding being asked to vacate the lot rented within Cedar Blessings RV Park, I have attached several documents showing that there was more than one occasion in which this guest received notice due to complaints from other guest, violation of park policy, as well as being late with monthly payments, verbal complaints to the office and management concerning their behavior as well as lack of attention to their pet while walking throughout the park, not cleaning up after the dog and the dog's aggressive behavior towards all other dogs in the park.  This guest was issued the first of multiple notices concerning the violations in October of 2022 and asked the first time February 7th, 2023, to find other arrangements due to the continued complaints. On February 21, 2023, there was a three-way telephone conversation between the manager and the owner of Cedar Blessings and the mother of this guest with the understanding that even with upfront payment that did not guarantee the continued ability to remain at the park and any payment was nonrefundable should there be continued complaints, this was agreed to by all three parties via telephone, there were continued complaints and because of this the guest was officially asked to leave the park on February 27, 2023, at that time the guest was given until the 6th day of March to make all the necessary arrangements,  however due to complications that the guest had with different aspects of  moving i.e.. trouble finding a place, trouble getting the RV towed and mechanical issues with the RV slides, the guest was given much more time and was allowed to extend their stay until the 24th of March at which time the RV was ready to be towed from the property at the listed address o* ***** ** ****** ** ***** *** ** ****** The guest then returned on Monday March 26th to retrieve the rest of their belongings. The guest was aware of the violations and complaints well before being asked to vacate the property and knew the risk of being asked to leave in advance, the guest was not thrown out overnight, there were multiple occasions on which different issues were addressed however due to the continued complaints and loss of business she was required to leave forfeiting the right to a refund as discussed and agreed upon. We are a family run business; all guests are provided a copy of our rules and regulations upon check-in, and are as well informed of our no refund policy.
