DO NOT BUY A BOAT FROM CHAMPION MARINE Here is a list of other issues that we have as well: 1. There is a soft spot on the starboard sign next to the center console 2.There are stress cracks all over the boat (in the front of the haul along the center console honestly just everywhere) 3. Cracks in the t-top on port side 4. The coating that is on the boat on the captain seat is coming off 5. The padding the clips in on the port side champion marine broke the clips when they put it back on so it comes off all the time 6. Screws are coming out every where 7. The starboard side swim ladder doesn’t extend at all 8. The radio is broken 9. The starboard motor is not working correctly and is not running right this has been a problem since day one 10. The rear top deck lights on the port side only half of the light is working 11. Lights on the gauges are not working 12. More than half the speakers on the boat are not working 13. The trim tab on port side is not working. 14. Everytime we turn on the live well it trips the breaker so the live well is not filling up. So my recommendation is DO NOT BUY A CLEARWATER BOAT BECAUSE CHAD AND GEORGE DO NOT RETURN YOUR CALLS. BUT THE FUNNY THING IS I BET THEY WILL CALL NOW SINCE I MADE THIS POST. WE WILL NOT REMOVE THIS POST THIS TIME . WE HAVE MADE NUMEROUS OF POST AND THEY KEEP CALLING AND ASKING US TO TAKE THEM DOWN ESPECIALLY AROUND WHEN BOAT SHOWS ARE COMING UP. THEY KEEP SAYING THEY WILL MAKE THINGS RIGHT AND THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE MARCH. DO NOT BY ONE FROM CHAMPION MARINE AS WELL. DAVID THE OWNER AND DOUG THE GM WILL SELL YOU A BOAT KNOWING IT HAS ISSUES.

We, at Champion Marine, apologize if you are having issues with your vessel.; however, our records indicate that your spouse was sold a used vessel, as-is, with no extended warranty purchased. Additionally, our vessel checkout sheet shows all systems were functional at the time of delivery, and any previous damage, if any, was notated. Not only did it pass inspection, but both you and your spouse signed an Acceptance of Vessel along with a purchase agreement, both stating that the vessel was in acceptable condition when you removed it from the lot. Furthermore, our records indicate that you had to be contacted multiple times in order to pay for the Simrad radar system you took that this dealership did not install for you. This would indicate that you had another mechanic work on the vessel, which may be a contributing factor to the issues you are currently having, especially if the person doing the work was not a certified technician. Assuming it was a certified technician that worked on your vessel, the issues you claim you are experiencing would most likely fall into the manufacturer's warranty, but since you declined an extended warranty through the dealership, the manufacturer would be the responsible party for any hull defects. Please note, that while we are a dealer that carries Clearwater vessels, they are a separate entity and company than we are. If our customers do not want a Clearwater, we have several other new boat lines and manufacturers that our customers can choose from. Used vessels, like the one you purchased, are always sold as-is because we cannot speak to the care or maintenance that was performed on the vessel when it is not in our possession. I wish you luck in your future boating endeavors, as it is my understanding that you are currently negotiating with the manufacturer to have them build you a bigger boat of the same make.

I would like to have the sign acceptance of vessel and a signed purchase agreement not sure how we could both signed it since the loan was in my husband name as you said above. One thing about Champion Marine you lie all the time and keep getting caught. Another thing you lie about we have never ever had a technician touch our boat the only people who have touched our boat is champion marine and champion marine employees so for you to try and blame some one else shame on you. Champion marine knew that there was a warranty defect on this boat because the original owner brought it back to them made champion marine buy it back from him. Champion marine doctored the cracks that we met on thr boat and resold it. So champion marine knew there was an issue and didnt let us know about it. In regards to the simrad, champion marine said the wires to the simrad were in the boat and all we had to do is plug and play and once again champion marine lied again and there were no cords that were in the boat for it. I told you we were waiting on a new bank card to come in that was out of our control. Y'all got paid for it. So once again dont do business with champion marine they lie to their customers and they will lie to everyone and not be honest to get you to buy a boat.

DO NOT BUY A BOAT FROM CHAMPION MARINE As of September 9, 2022- Update: so George called me last Friday to let me know Chad (the owner of Clearwater) was not happy with me in regards to my post. They said that they wanted to try and make things right but I need to take my post down. I told George I was tired of giving, giving and giving (always taking our post down) and you can’t even keep us up to date or call us and let us know when you plan on coming to get our boat (which was suppose to get picked up 2 weeks ago). We talked about having a new boat built and he told me he was going to talk to Chad and call me on Tuesday September 6, 2022. No call. I called Thursday September 8, 2022 and he told me that Chad was suppose to of called me on Tuesday September 6, 2022 and that he was going to call him now and call me back. Guess what NO CALL AGAIN. So this has been going on since March 2022. I ADVISE DON’T BUY A CLEARWATER BOAT (CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS) and DO NOT BUY A BOAT FROM CHAMPION MARINE THEY WILL LIE TO YOU JUST TO GET YOU TO BUY FROM THEM. We have a 2021 23’ CLEARWATER and it was the worst purchase that we have ever made (also champion marine is also the worst company to buy a boat from because a lot of these issues they were aware of and never disclosed it). The stringers on the boat are no good. The hull is still under warranty but we keep getting excuse after excuse from Clearwater on when Chad and George can get it fixed. I have tried to call them and I ask for them to call me back and once again unless I call they never reach out nor call us back. So we do not trust to send our boat to Columbus Georgia to their headquarters to get fixed but after seeing so many complaints where people would say they told them 6 weeks ended up being 6 months.
