                    RE:  Complaint ID ********

Dear Ms. ******************** you for your correspondence related to Complaint ID ********. The Customer alleges he purchased a ******** apprentice tool kit ("kit")from Lowes and/or **********. Customer also alleges various defects and or missing items related to the kit. Southwire is aware of this Customer and has been actively working with him to resolve his issue since February 2024.

Southwire's return/exchange policy is customer friendly, in that ******************** will exchange damaged product for a replacement item once the original product has been returned to Southwire. To facilitate the return Southwire furnishes a shipping label directly to the customer.

Please note the following timeline directly related to the Customer below for further reference. ******************** would be happy to provide you correspondence and voicemails received and sent to the Customer should you wish to review the underlying documentation.

February 16, 2024- The Customer called the ******************** hotline to request a replacement of a defective tool. The Customer was calling and demanding replacement of a full 14-piece tool kit he stated he purchased and was under warranty. Southwire requested that the Customer return the damaged tool contained in the kit and/or send photos of the damaged tool for a replacement Item to be sent to Customer. The Customer refused to return the damaged tool or send photos of the damaged tool. (At one point Customer provided stock photos from the internet, however no actual photos were provided by the Customer of the damaged tool). The Customer continued to make repeated demands to have his tool replaced despite not following Southwire's policy for returns for damaged tools.

February 20, 2024: Southwire, to address the Customers concerns, and in a one-time exception to the return policy, sent a full replacement kit to the Customer and requested he send the original purchased kit missing a part back to Southwire. To date the Customer has not returned the kit to ********************, despite Customer having received a new kit from ********************.

July 2024:  Customer is now having issues with a wire cutting tool that came in the replacement kit and wants a replacement wire cutter sent. Customer was sent a return label to send the wire cutting tool back to Southwire for a replacement. Customer stated he will not send back the original tool and claimed the shipping label provided by Southwire "would not work."

August 8, 2024: Customer is still having an issue with wire cutting tool and wants to return it for a new one but is having issues with the shipping label as provided by Southwire.

August 9, 2024: Southwire sent a second shipping label to the Customer to return the wire cutting tool, however Customer was unable/unwilling to use and ship the product. Customer again claimed the label did not work.

August 21, 2021: Customer called Monday and Tuesday and emailed each day as well.
Customer stated he is upset because he does not want to drive back up and the new label not work.

In short, Southwire would be happy to exchange the damaged wire cutters once they have been returned to Southwire in accordance with Southwire's liberal return policy. Once Southwire receives the damaged wire cutting tool from the Customer, ******************** will send a replacement wire cutting tool to the Customer.

Should you have any additional questions, or require any additional information, please feel free to reach out to me.

      Very sincerely yours,
