    I am getting married May 23, 2025. In the beginning of May 2024 my fiance and I began to get into contact with ***** ***** regarding his ice cream event catering for our wedding. On May 10, 2024 my fianc and I had decided to book ***** ****** services for our wedding. On May 10, 2024 @2:17pm, my fianc and I paid a deposit of $391.96 to ***** ***** via Squareup with the remaining balance of $1,175.86. On October 28, 2024 my fianc and I contacted ***** ***** at chill and tacos ice cream taqueria, to advise due to our circumstances we would no longer be able to afford Mr. ****** services. ***** ***** then informed my fianc and I that he is unable to give us a full refund back because he has already spent the deposit money we sent him back on May 10, 2024 and that when we paid the deposit it was non-refundable and it was verbally discussed that the deposit is non-refundable. I informed ***** ***** that there is no previous contractual agreement that the deposit was is non-refundable nor did our invoice have a non-refundable deposit clause. Mr. ***** then tried to negotiate with me regarding that amount that he would refund my fianc and I. ***** ***** then said he would be able to give my fianc and I half of our deposit back in the amount of $195.98 because Mr. ****** words exactly I do not want bad blood with anyone regarding business. I agreed to be refunded in the amount of $195.98. ***** ***** then informed me that he would need a few weeks to get the money together and he would contact me on Monday, November 4, 2024 to discuss further. On Monday, November 4, 2024, ***** ***** sent my fianc a text message stating that he was willing to give my fianc and I a refund of $100 if we had documentation from our wedding venue that our wedding was canceled. ***** ***** canceled our invoice and provided falsified documents including a now added non-refundable deposit clause.
