    After researching several private Investigators we decided to hire Shawn T**** owner of SLT Investigations. This decision was based upon his website and phone conversation in which he promised to obtain statements from the subjects and development a professional presentation that could be used in court. After paying Mr. T**** $1,000(One thousand dollars) he
    Failed to return text and email messages
    failed to return phone calls
    failed to provide weekly updates regarding efforts and progress
    failed to produce a detailed report/analysis of the research which was provided to him
    failed to provide any original useful or helpful information
    the power point presentation he provided was nothing more than a plagiarism of my own research, which was previously forwarded to Mr T****
    the report that was finally provided is unprofessional and of no usable value.
    It is superficial at best, and lacks any original content or information that is helpful or useful to present to the Judge.
    His actions are unprofessional and disgraceful to his profession
    When confronted he failed to refund any of the 1,000.00 even though he agreed to do so in a previous text message.

    The company made it clear that when looking for witnesses we could not guarantee that the person would want to participate in their Divorce case. This company bills for HOURLY efforts and we worked a full 8 hours above what was quoted for no additional charge. The client then demanded a refund after all the work was already done. That request was denied, as we do not work for free. We made it crystal clear that we promise efforts, no results. The client participated in and was provided a full report / power-point and other correspondence demonstrating the work was done. This accusation and defamatory and baseless and we have hired the Law Office of Tony Hernandez III to address it.

    Despite Mr. T****'s threats of retaliation, he did NOT address my actual complaint.

    To be clear, I am not complaining that Mr. T**** failed to achieve the goal of obtaining a statement from a target witness. Given Mr. T****'s demonstrated talent and abilities, it is understandable that he failed.

    My complaint is that after taking over $1000 of my money, Mr. T****:

    - failed and neglected to respond to text and email messages
    - failed and neglected to respond to telephone calls
    - failed and neglected to deliver promised weekly updates
    - failed and neglected to provide any useful or original information or promised detailed summary analysis reports
    - the report that was ultimately provided was superficial; lacked any original content; and was primarily a plagiarism of research that we originally provided to him in
    order to focus his investigation

    When we discussed this problem with him he became confrontational and threatening, as is epitomized in his BBB complaint response. In my opinion, this is not reasonable or acceptable professional conduct.
