We contracted with Tyson's Trades on 12-8-21 to rebuild our culvert, which we share with 3 other neighbors. According to our contract, Tyson's Trades promised to: "cut out our asphalt driveway and haul away, remove head walls and existing footers, remove pipe and get ground ready for new pipe, install footers to county specs, set new pipe, form walls, pour walls, back fill, install new concrete driveway and apron, install section of sod (X2)".

We paid Tyson's Trades $10,000 on 12-8-21. The 3 other neighbors paid their share in February 2022 of half of the contracted amount upfront; the second half of the contract was to be paid at the finish of the project.

In February 2022, we were promised that the project would take approximately 2 weeks.

For 4 months, we had to travel through other people's property to get out of our property. We had to go through a padlocked gate. This trek was extra wear-and-tear on our vehicles, plus took extra time and the other people, whose property we had to drive through, had to put up with the extra traffic. These people were promised that it would be only 2 weeks, but it turned into months. Additionally, no emergency vehicles could get onto our property, since there was a padlocked gate to get through.

Eventually, the head walls were poured, and one of the head walls was poured over dirt and silt that had gathered on the footers over time, due to lots of time passing between the times that workers showed up. This resulted in the head wall being compromised (there is a crack in it - see the attached photo), so that it is unsafe. The head wall has to be redone.

Part of our front fence was torn down during the work being done and needs to be repaired, as well.

Tyson's Trades abandoned the job after the head wall was poured improperly. Shawn Tyson, of Tyson's Trades, stopped communicating with us as of June 29, 2022. Tyson's Trades has not attempted to resolve the problem.
