******* *****, acting as a public adjuster at Coconut Grove Claim Adjusters, LLC, collected an insurance settlement check March 18, 2025. that was issued jointly to me and another party. He cashed this check without our required endorsements or consent. We made repeated efforts to contact him, but he remained unresponsive for weeks. The insurance company has confirmed this action was unauthorized. We are requesting immediate resolution and restitution.Below is a detailed timeline of our interactions on whats app, email and phone call. March 18 ******* confirmed that you would pick up the check and endorse it for us to deposit. Your message: I asked via message if he had the check. No response.March 19 and March 20 I followed up no response.March 21 He responded:Hello. Yes, I picked up the check but I am out of the office this week. I will process it next week.I replied:Thank you! Talk to you next week.March 26, March 27 and March 31 no response We called his office and we were told he was working as usual, they said they were giving him an urgent message to contact us. April 2 I messaged again:No response and called straight to voicemail April 7 After speaking directly with the insurance company, I was informed that ******* had already cashed the original check without either endorsement. The insurance company clearly stated that this is not legally permitted. They have advised us to contact the ***** police.

My name is ****************************************** and I am desperately in need of your help. After experiencing a water leak in my house that damaged three rooms, I hired Coconut Grove Claim Adjusters, *************************, as my adjuster to facilitate the insurance claim with my insurance company, American Platinum Property and ******************* In the contract with Coconut Grove Claim Adjusters, the claim settlement would be split 80% to my husband, ******* and me, with 20% going to the adjuster. ************** received the settlement check of $8,333.41 and without informing my husband or me, cashed the check and kept the entire amount. This was done on April 19, 2024. (I discovered this information only by calling the insurance company for status of the settlement). Subsequently, ************** has not responded to our telephone calls, texts, or emails asking that he send us our portion of the insurance claim, which is $6,666.72. He has completely cut us off and has vanished in the wind. We are unable to go to his office to speak with him in person because the address for Coconut Grove Claim Adjusters, ***********************, is a *** mailing office. Any assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.******************************************

    Dear Better Business Bureau,

Today, 06/14/2024, I received a check from Coconut Grove Claim Adjusters in the requested amount of $6,666.72. I immediately deposited the check. (It is not cleared yet, however).

I am utterly grateful to you for taking the time to contact Coconut Grove Claim Adjusters/************************* on my behalf. Were it not for you and the other agencies that I reached out to for help, I would not have heard from **************. With your attempts to contact him, I feel he had no other choice but to issue the payment.

Again, thank you for your valuable assistance.
