    If I could leave a negative star I would. My significant other and I planned our wedding and placed a deposit for March 2 @3pm 6 months ago (late August 2024) at Hard Rock Punta Cana. ******** ********, who was assigned as Wedding Coordinator, sent a pre-made email listing details about what to expect for our special day. We knew that it would only be the 2 of us eloping together and we weren’t going to have all the extra things like DJ, LED lights, confetti like the email listed. Going out of US I was busy planning this trip by getting myself and our 3 babies passports, our birth certificates, outfit situations, and other details. We booked our own room for 2/22/24-3/7/2024 and confirmed it, but never heard anything from this so called wedding planner. We have been together 18years and have 3 children together (never married before) we paid a deposit and paid full at arrival, followed up with customer service, which was always so difficult to reach and figured that we were following all the right steps. However, when we arrived to our destination we were made aware that we were missing a Declaration of Single Status (provided by the Dominican Consulate Office in the country state WE CURRENTLY reside in) and missing a Translation of all your documents (provided by the Dominican Consulate Office in the country/state WE CURRENTLY reside in). We both had no idea that this pertained to US Citizens. We feel foolish being that we spent all this time and money just to have a symbolic wedding. We have been together for a long time, have beautiful children together, and consider this another eventful experience we have together but I wish there was some accountability of the coordinator who failed to assist in the actual planning process. Seems like they just make money off of the deposits from people that don’t have extravagant weddings with hundreds of guests by thinking they won’t actually show up.
