      Caveat Emptor! They make it almost impossible to cancel a scheduled online payment. Then, trying to cancel it retroactively is almost equally impossible. Ultimately, I had to cancel payment via the tax entity being paid and via my credit card company!

      ****************** (APAY) researched the payment associated with this review submitted to the BBB and confirmed that the payment was successfully canceled through the tax entity being paid.   We also did not find a record of the consumer contacting us for assistance.  APAY understands the importance of managing payments and is available to help. There are a couple of ways to cancel a payment through our system:
      ********* ******************************** You can reach out to us at ************************************************. Our team will provide you with detailed instructions on how to delete the payment.
      2.Use the My Account Dashboard: After logging into your account, select "Scheduled Payments" and then click on "Manage Scheduled Payments." From there, you can select the payment you wish to delete by clicking the checkbox beside it and then clicking "Delete" again. Once completed, click the "Done" button to finalize the deletion.

      I tried to pay online, for some reason i get a message access denied. I tried to click on forget password, same message, i try to pay as a guest. everything going great until i submit payment, then message says there is an account already associated w this email.....and round and round. I finally call number, after waiting w music for 11 minutes (no message to acknowledge my hold, or estimated time of service, etc. I'm about to hang up and a very pleasant lady took my call and payment information.....everything going great, then she says same, that "it got kicked back" and she was unable to make payment. she suggested i email to reset password. i hang up, call my insurance agent with my payment information and he is able to process no problem....THEN i get a confirmation on the payment i made on the phone call.....so now I double paid!so many errors, this ACI interface is laughable and out of the 80s. Nowhere else on any business do you encounter this level of clumsiness/slowness/errors on the website! That it is associated with the government says it all, doesn't it?Madness doesn't end there...I email the suggested email using the subject "reset password" and i get an automated reply that says to read the faqs first. the answers in the faqs do not correspond with my experience when i tried to reset password, so this time i said "need to unlock my account". you wouldn't believe the long multicolored email sent when i requested to rest password...what site on this planet doesn't just reset no problems?? so now i'm just waiting for a reply to that.This is by far the craziest, most inefficient payment interface I have ever experienced, makes me wonder how safe cc info i transmitted can be secured, huh? over an hour and a half invested just to pay a bill, and I double paid due to THEIR error.

      ****************** has researched the customer review submitted by Ms. ******* on 12/31/2024 and confirmed that only one payment was processed to her account. Ms. ******** online account was unlocked, and a password reset link was emailed. ******************representatives attempted to contact Ms. ******* via phone multiple times to discuss this matter but were not able to reach her. Once Ms. ******* logs in to her online account, she will see the confirmation of the single successful payment.

      Horrible Company do not go here. Dishonest!!!! Paid for second computer/user ifull one year amount!!! not prorated. my office membership ran out a few months later. they said i have to ********** 1 year amount again!!!!!...they never explained any of this up front. Very dishonest and unethical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you called them to sign up for a second computer in February you would ********** 1 year.....then office membership runs out in March..... they will tell you you need to pay an entire year again......they do not prorate and do not care about their customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if i can give them zero stars i would!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Once you make a payment you cannot get any verification through the online "verify a payment" it just drops loops back to home page. And forget calling the 800 number. After calling several times it just drops the call. You cannot get in touch with a real human being at all. I Emailed a request to verify my payment. And no response. This is starting to smell as a fraudulent website. Take your money and run type of ****. We will see.

      This company (ACI Payments, *************, **) sent me a letter that appeared to be bogus or a scam, stating that a payment had been made to GM Financial. The account number on the letter is my GM account number and the payment amount is my payment. However, this was a phone payment made to a charge card or account that included the 4 digits which did not belong to me. Soooo, someone's mastercard last 4 digits was shared with me!! This was not a payment I made or authorized and the letter appears to be a scam of some sort. I have contacted GM Financial and they do verify that ACI is a third party payer to them ... and there did seem to be a lot of confusion about my account. I pay on time each month and electronically from my bank. I would not use a third party who charges $7.50 transaction fee!!!! I am extremely unhappy about the anxiety this caused me since Saturday when I could not contact GM.

      ACI ********* **** (ACI) is aware of a situation where a third party is rerouting payments initiated by consumers through ACIs payment processing system. This circumstance occurs when a consumer initiates a payment through the online bill pay service provided by the consumers financial institution or a similar third partys method of indirect payment. The third party thenunbeknownst to the consumerconverts the payment to a card payment and initiates a payment on ACIs payment processing system without identifying that the third party initiating the payment is not in fact the consumer. ACI prohibits the use of ACIs payment processing services by third parties in this manner because of the confusion it understandably causes for consumers. Unfortunately, ACI is not always able to identify and prevent these types of payments from processing on its system in this manner. The letter received from ACI is a legitimate payment receipt and accurately reflects the payment that was initiated by the consumers financial institution on ACIs payment processing system. ACI processes all such payments in accordance with the instructions provided by the third party initiating the payment. ACI is working to ensure all payments processed by ACI are posted to the intended accounts so that there is no disruption to consumers. ACI asks that affected consumers follow up with the financial institution the consumer used to initiate the payment to inquire about the routing of these online bill payments.
