  I contacted this business to the Better Business Bureau. I was very clear and talking with the gentleman, ***, that came for our estimate. That we wanted popcorn ceiling removed from our ceiling and our ceilings to be flat. Company provided an estimate which did include painting the ceiling flat. As a lay person all seem to be in order and especially because of our verbal conversation it seemed that we would get what we were looking for. In the end the ceiling has a texture which is not what we wanted at all. We did initially ask for two estimates one for merely painting the popcorn ceiling and one for making it flat. If we knew we were at end up with a texture which in the end we did we would have simply painted the existing popcorn to make it look better. Now our ceiling looks nearly as bad as it did Before the work was done. This is the second miscommunication we had with this vendor. I specifically asked if we should be out of our home during the work they said no. When the workers arrived they suggested we leave for The two day period of the work being done. We ended up scrambling so that we could be out of our home and make it their life easier. In resolution we would like a flat ceiling. Whether this company does that with the workers or we submit an invoice to them to have someone else do the work.

  We do not offer smooth finish ceilings in occupied homes. We only offer Knockdown Texture.  Our estimate clearly states Knockdown texture - see attachment.  At no point did we ever use the terminology:  smooth, skim coating, sanding all used to describe smooth finish.  Smooth also cost approx. 3x that of knockdown.  Your popcorn removal and knockdown was $1495 which I discounted to $1295.  You only paid 1/2 of that by taking off $645 at the end of the job without any discussion from our company. So basically you paid us to remove the popcorn but did not pay for *************. My contract is clear for knockdown.(see attachment)  Asking us to pay for smooth ceilings is unreasonable. I am truly sorry you are not satisfied but I thought you taking the $645 discount is what you wanted.
