      Business Response

      Date: 11/29/2023

I personally discussed this matter with ***************  The original settlement documents were received by my office on November 16, 2023.  That same day, we forwarded the signed documents via priority mail to opposing counsel's office.  We're still waiting on judicial approval of the settlement.  Upon approval and receipt of the settlement funds, ****************** proceeds will be immediately distributed.  Unfortunately, the settlement of a workers' compensation claims involves multiple parties and month(s) can elapse between the date a settlement agreement is reached and the date the settlement proceeds are ultimately received.  I'm personally overseeing this matter and our office is doing everything in our power to expedite the approval process.
