    Aluminum Structure came to my home in January 2023 and gave me a price quote on aluminum clam shell awnings for our windows. A deposit in cash or check was requested, which I gave them a check in January. I was told 8 to 10 weeks until installation, which would be the first week April 2023. I called the office consistently to check on order, was told first week of April, they expect delivery April 12 and I was scheduled for April 14 installation. Today, April 11, 2023, Steward of their office calls me to tell me the order will not be delivered until May or June! He forwarded e-mails to me from the distributor and told me to call the Rich, the distributor in Ocala. On March 22, 2023, Aluminum Structure was e-mailed that the dates were pushed out and never contacted me until today! I called Rich in Ocala, the distributor told me nothing has been done on my January order at all, he would be happy to cancel the order today and refund 100% of my money. I sent an e-mail and called Aluminum Structure with a request to cancel the order and refund me the January deposit. Steward claims the owner is the only person who can approve this, he is unavailable and they will try to get back to me by the end of the week. They have had my check / deposit since January. The check was cashed, I have not been given any honest updates, the distributor "delay" e-mail was forwarded to me from March 22nd. They ignored the email since March 22nd I was not told of the delay by Aluminum Structure. My deposit is owed back to me and their distributor agreed to cancel the order today. Please advise, thank you for your time

    Good afternoon Mrs. ******

    As you are aware we have cancelled the contract and refunded your deposit to you already. Attached is proof of the cashed refund check and cancelled contract.

    The delays with the awning were related to manufacture lead time. Our contracts state at the top "Material Supply per manufactures lead time". Aluminum Structure LLC provided you the emails from the manufacture showing the delayed timelines (also attached). Once you had requested cancellation and refund of your deposit we escalated the request to William D******, President and CEO of Aluminum Structure LLC. We provided a timeframe of 24-48 hours for the request to be approved by Mr. D******. Since you had insisted on the issue being resolved as soon as possible, we were able to have our President approve the refund and cancel the contract the same day you had requested it.

    Since the refund was already issued and has cleared our bank account (see attachments) we feel no further action is required.
